  • SirJacob Rees-Mogg was hounded by pro-Palestine protesters as he left a university after giving a talk at its conservative association, triggering concerns over a “culture of intimidation” in politics.
    Footage showed the Tory MP faced with demonstrators shouting and swearing as he was escorted to a vehicle by eight security guards outside Cardiff University on Friday evening.
    The former business secretary, who is MP for Bath and North East Somerset, is no stranger to protests, but the confrontation has raised concerns over the “unacceptable” harassment of politicians with it coming in the wake of a number of attacks on MPs.
    The protest was organised by Welsh Underground Network and Cardiff Communists, with the former tweeting afterwards: “We helped organise a demonstration against this imperialist politician.”

      @@Officialnrb At the time the Oslo Accord was signed in 1993, there were just over 110,000 Jewish settlers living in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Today, the figure is more than 700,000. Settlements are seen as illegal under international law but Israel has always disputed that. Things were fractious but gradually working out until Netanyahu rallied his support in 1995 by trashing the Oslo Accord. With Rabin assassinated, Netanyahu took power in 1996 and shattered the process of all that was agreed upon.
      Netanyahu spent his two and a half years in power in a relentless attempt to arrest, freeze, and subvert the Oslo accords. He kept preaching reciprocity while acting unilaterally in demolishing Arab houses, imposing curfews, confiscating Arab land, building new Jewish settlements, and opening an archaeological tunnel near the Muslim holy places in the Old City of Jerusalem. Whereas the Oslo accord left Jerusalem to the final stage of the negotiations, Netanyahu made it the centrepiece of his programme in order to block progress on any other issue. His government waged an economic and political war of attrition against the Palestinians in order to lower their expectations.
      This is just a small section of the way things have turned every time Netanyahu has taken power in Israel. I don’t support the militant actions of Hamas, but I truly believe that although they have received outside support, they have been fighting for their homes what were quite literally destroyed in order to resettle Israelis in their place, right after an agreement to a two state solution had finally become more than just wishful thinking.
      Just as we watch Russia invade Ukraine and destroy the homes and lives of people there, people in the West Bank had their😊 homes and lives demolished. How long will an ever increasingly large group of people going through this remain peaceful in any part of the world? Whilst any attacks are just escalatory and wrong, it is worth remembering who and what it was that led to this attack by Hamas on Israel.

    • @Tommy-jl9dm

      @@user-SubvurzIV I view these policies left wing.
      Diversity equity inclusion.- I have many non white friends and family i have sisters nieces friends who are women nobody should get a job to tick a box on colour sex religion you get a job based on ability and skill set training ect.
      Open borders - many friends family are legal migrants and immigrants my brother's wife is Czech but the idea a nation has taxes calculated on people × debt ÷ services and we allow people to come in that mess up this balance regardless of country or colour is crazy.
      Only 2 sexes - men are men women are women the rest are mentally ill
      Capitalism is bad socialism is good ? - I'm working class I'm the first person I know in my family to own a house and I got that through training earning saving luck and knowledge. We live in a system of corporatism a few powerfull mega companies controlling everything just like in communist china and former soviet union .
      Green energy - again left wing controll right wing people don't want big government I don't like rules I don't like regulations I don't want cbdc telling me what I can spend my money on . I am my own boss I am an individual and communism in Latin means many sticks ? It's the group over the individual.
      I believe in free speech say as you want as an individual be racist sexist anything sticks and stones to me a 1 on 1 fight but where a group pushes a narrative where a gang picks on the individual cancel culture type thing I'm against that.
      I believe in survival of the fittest I have family members who have been homeless many on benefits and disabilities but they should not have a better life than a working person. People on benefits should not be in the same league and if a person on benefits gets 200 a week a worker should get a grand. And I say this as someone whose had a terrible injury and had to be off work could lose house had to pay private operations coz NHS overrun.
      Traditional British values promoted and enforced. I've been all over the world I love different culture but multi culture destroys culture. I would be just as angry going to Japan and it being full of Americans as I am at to many Muslims in this country.

      @user-SubvurzIV Před 17 dny

      @@Tommy-jl9dm OK..first of all, I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to answer with some substance.
      The diversity and inclusion policies..yeah I can see what you're saying with this but it's a redress of the fact that for years minorities that were equally qualified were either excluded from prominent positions or received disproportionately lower remuneration for doing the same jobs. As a minority myself, I don't want to get a job due to some box ticking exercise to fit a percentage quota..I want it because I'm viewed as the most capable candidate but I do think its fair that I get paid the same for doing the same work. Am all for equality of opportunity over equality of outcome in the workplace but its the same as the trans issue..the pendulum swings between extremes until some balance and sensible outcome can be achieved.
      The corporatocracy you refer to is exactly what happens when Conservative policies like market deregulation and less govt intrusion in the private sector happens. The open border policies are inherently right wing as the influx of cheap labour only serves to drive profit for those corporations.
      In regards to benefits..I also know many people on benefits but every single one of them has chosen to accept a standard of living that I wouldn't be prepared to. I get to go on holiday to nice places, have decent things, live in a nice house and can go out whereas they're always broke and just stay at home. I don't begrudge them for it. It's not like if they all stopped claiming, we would see even the smallest increase in services for us..that money would just be funnelled offshore to the private sector anyway or be used ro blow people up in other countries.
      Traditional values is tricky because it's not the left or the right wing's place to reinforce these. It's up to the people themselves to actively engage in the parts of their culture that are important to them and then the benefits of preserving them will be self evident to everybody. I don't know a single white English person that goes to church or is a druid or does morris dancing or even cares about these things beyond getting annoyed that others aren't. I definitely wouldn't be offended by anyone engaging in these activities.

    • @Tommy-jl9dm
      @Tommy-jl9dm Před 17 dny +1

      @@user-SubvurzIV I pretty much agree with everything you have said but with the exception of 2 points
      1 I believe that the reason British people don't hold up traditional values is because it is actively discouraged atleast it is in larger cities. I understand this to some extent to promote other cultures but when I was at school we did have morris dancing we had the whit walks we had the lord's prayer and was taught Christian values . Now this may sound ironic but I say this and I am not Christian but my point is if these globalists who I believe influence the government can mute Christianity in England what can they do to other religions and traditions ? The quest for multi culture I believe is at the behest of the true traditions of a particular culture and in the end it is watered down into some sort of politically correct version
      The 2nd point I would point out is I believe that capitalists who gain ultimate controll of their industry reach a point where to consolidate power and then pressure weak politicians to bring in rules and regulations to consolidate their power from any challengers this to me is communist as it is rigging the game . I don't know if you follow football but my analogy is footballers are capitalist the premier league is capitalist but the new super league they tried to introduce is communist it is elite clubs preventing promotion or relegation to rig the game in their favour.

And then to tie it to Judaism is disgusting. Murdering 14000 children and doing so in the name of all Jews is actual antisemitism and puts Jews at real risk conflating Judaism with zionism.

    I don't like him and I always find this mob rule behaviour appalling but, history has shown that this has been around for long time particularly during the 1970's. Of course this can influence people but doesn't necessarily work. The only real chance of change recommend is to vote at elections, not shouting abuse in groups

      SM5502, shouting abuse in groups is not mob rule, it's just an undecorous form of protest, and with our electoral system, we keep ending up being governed by self-serving career politicians such as Mogg and Johnson, who casually rape the country, emboldened by the grovelling support of a dishearteningly large and ignorant segment of the population.
