No contact definitely works in a marriage. Several years ago I tried everything to fix the marriage when she wanted the divorce. Only when I went no contact, did things turn around and she came back to work on the marriage. A few years later I caught her in a affair. I went no contact again just so I could heal and move on. Sure enough she made effort to creep back in. But at that point I couldn’t take her back

She was very good at posting zero clues in social media. I was faking being with a girl on social media. She was doing the real deal and posting zero about the guy...

6/7 months after an ugly (and I mean ugly) separation and we can laugh and Joke about things, inside jokes, past references. We went for a meal with our son on Sunday and we are back to be normal and friends again. But you can only get there by giving them space at the start, limiting contact, staying emotionally stable, not talking about the relationship, not asking for them back etc. Your spouse needs to want to come back on their own.

My wife and I just separated last week. She has told me over the years that I need to change. I would try to fix what she said was wrong,but it was a repeating cycle and I couldn’t figure out what was the reason. Talking to a fellow veteran,they clued in when I told them my wife said that when I come home,I’m there,but not there. My friend explained I had PTSD. Depression,anxiety,hyper vigilance,insomnia. It made sense why I kept regressing. I had no idea this was ruining my marriage. I found a note she wrote pouring her heart out on why I want to fix things 9 years into our marriage. I’ve been watching your videos and am doing limited contact bc we have kids. I’m going to the VA now for help,but I’m not sure she will notice or want me back. I have the same thing, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and anger issues. I'm a vet as well. I was married for 26 years and I'm on week 3 of separation. My wife and I were toxic for each other. We've both been unhappy for a few years. I was planning on telling her I wanted a divorce but she beat me to it. And even though I know we don't need to be together but it still felt like being run over by a train! I knew this was coming but and I already prepared myself for it. Yet it still hurts like hell! And she acts like she got over it a long time ago. The only thing that's got me stuck is after 26 years, only memories of the past I have is with her. And it's hard not to think of the past. And even though I know we shouldn't be together, the thought of her finding someone else is excruciating! I still have to have some contact because we have 3 kids and 3 grandkids. So I guess I'm in a big smelly pile of s**t! Nut it's good to know I'm not the only one going through this. Good luck!

@@ChrisBarnette-zk8iy My PTSD didn’t surface until almost a year after we married and I didn’t realize it….my wife said I had changed after going to military training for several months,but I didn’t see it until after we separated…a fellow vet I was talking said some things to me regarding PTSD that made me realize what happened and I was able to start from there and did EMDR therapy which really helped…working out and starting BJJ/Judo helped also….wife and I got back together 5 months later and just celebrated out 10 year anniversary yesterday….

I, too, have PTSD. I'm a firefighter/ paramedic for 20 years. She just left 2 weeks ago. I have been making strides in changes that her whole family has noticed. She keeps talking about divorce. I'm 2 weeks into no contact. Giving it 30 days and hoped she snapped out of her anger. We had a very loving marriage. Her Facebook shows her crazy for me. I am struggling.
Hi Coach Lee, thank you for all your videos, they are very smart and wise! I have watched them all, even the ones that don't apply to my case. Now to my question : my ex, with whom I have kids and have been together for 8 years, dumped me in the end of last year. I can't leave him, coz I am studying and am financially unable to support myself and the kids at this point, so we agreed to go on living under the same roof until my studies are done (this time next year). I can't really do NC.... He is talking to a woman, I don't know whether she is a rebound or not, but for sure is long distnce, so can't meet. At the same time, he is very bad at talking about his feelings and the relationship, so whenever we had fights, when he wanted to fix things, instead of taalking he would kiss me and/or hug me. Now. Here come the 2 questions : 1) shall I put an effort on leaving him asap to start a real nc or wait till my studies are over? 2) of he decides he wants to come back to me and initiates physical contact or sex, what shall I do? If I reject him - probably bad, but if I don't, it turns out that he can dump me, do whatever he wants, but as soon as he wants sex, I am right there!??
And, by the way, all these "helpful" people, pointing at some "shaman" who could help with a +2...number, get a grip, noone has begged you to write here!
Hi Coach Lee. Would love to see a video (if there isn't one already) on best ways to act or what to expect if you work with an ex or run into an ex randomly during no contact. I work with my ex in a company of 200 people and ran into her today for the first time in about 17 days of no contact. I played it cool, said hi and was polite. She was also pleasant, but said something like "Hey stranger, how are you? I haven't heard from you in awhile." I thought it was strange since she dumped me that she seems to think I should have been trying to get in touch like normal or maybe she just said the first thing that popped in her head. I'm remaining no contact unless she reaches out directly but would love to get some insights on what an ex might be thinking or how they might act if you randomly run into them during no contact and how we should respond. Thanks! Also, I really like all your content and the breakup kit. Helps me get through the moments when I'm weak and want to reach out.

Wife kicked me out a year ago. Very little contact other than coordinating pickup and drop off of our child. She informed me she had filed for divorce and I’ll be served this week. Is it too late for the emergency marriage kit
My husband divorced me 5 weeks ago. He was calling coming over and texting for 4 weeks. Almost 2 weeks ago absolutely nothing. He went back and forth back and forth and even called off the divorce in July. The divorce was over in 2 1/2 weeks over the phone. Can no contact still work at this point.

My husband is currently ignoring me and even not messaging me . At moment I'm in another country to give back my rental house so I can fully move to him and now he even canceled the ticket back that he bought and told me I bui it myself and be back in semptembr when I suppose be back like next month. Today I broke my nc after 5 months lol, I went to the cafe (best In the town) that she always there, I found her with her friends (two guys) and I went straight to the counter to buy coffee (take away) and then off the place, completely I ignored her existence there. 😅😅

I made the mistake of getting into it with my husband when he expressed his anger. I feel like i held back quite a bit but i did debate even though i listened and understood his point of view. Feel like i took a few steps back. He is still at home until his apt is available. And i am trying to maintain smart contact while under the same roof. And i felt like progress was being made.

This is great! What about a video specifically on the no contact rule in marriage if your partner is in an affair with someone else... I really need guidance if I can save this marriage when there is such a strong pull by someone else. I have less hope every day. I do by best to not initiate contact unless business related (we have no shared children) and it may be days to a week without anything. If he contacts or calls I will respond - not always right away. I really need more guidance and a pep talk in how to navigate this path in hopes to reconcile my marriage.
Coach lee has a rebound video and all of his videos have advices that can be apply to your situation, I suggest to watch them, cry, find a hobbie, workout, try getting dopamine from watching series (which I dont advise, you can get addict to it) but It was some of the ways that I could go through the pain but definitely watch the videos so you can understand more of your ex behaviour.
I hatw when people advise us get a hobby and do something for yourself. Of course we are doing that but also we are no made from stone and we have obviously more feelings than a man.

Hi Coach, I'm not married but just finished almost 2 months of NC. I reached out and we texted a bit, I asked him for coffee. He said hes busy the next two weekends and he hasnt been responding. Should I go back in NC or should I try again for coffee? I might have over pursued a bit honestly...sent him 3 texts without any reply in the span of 6 days, basically sent one per day every three days. Nothing. Hi. No contact rule doesn't work for me. In August 2020 my wife told me she doesn't love me. 3 weeks later filed for a divorce. November 2021 after 3rd session got divorce. Over that time I kept no contact rule but even that she never reached me out. We have no kids but we have house with mortgage which is rented. All duties I'm paying on my own and our financial stuff are not sorted out. She got divorce as she wanted but even that she is no reaching out to sort out with divission of assest and repayment of bank installments. I have no idea what to do for time being I'm keeping well with no contact. Thanks

If she asked for space, you have to give her space. In this case, it’s actually showing her that you do care. Plus, if you don’t give it when you asked for it, how could you possibly do anything but annoy her? Relationship dynamics and breakup dynamics are different. So give her the space she asked for.
Giving space shows you care. It’s not about No Contact, that’s for personal growth.

Coach lee, my ex-bf And I broke up for 5 month now . We went to our friend bd and I give him a ride home .
