Pass your Driving Test Oxford: Littlemore Roundabout - Hardest Roundabout On Test?

Today we will be looking at how to do Littlemore Roundabout correctly from all entrances that may come up on your driving test.
This will help you avoid those serious faults that will cause people to fail their driving test
2:47 Sandy Lane West - turn onto dual carriageway - give way junction, not slip road

3:21 Right 3rd Exit A4142 -> Rose Hill + Iffley, then Right Newman Road. Right hand lane
5:10 Right 3rd Exit A4142 -> Rose Hill + Iffley, then continue straight. Right hand lane.
6:52 Straight Ahead 2nd Exit A4142 -> Ring road. Left or middle lane.

8:38 Straight Ahead 2nd Exit A4142 -> Ring road towards London. (ie. starting from opposite side to above) Middle lane preferred.
10:11 Straight Ahead 2nd Exit from Heyford Hill rb on A4142 -> Ring Road towards London. Same as above but starting right hand lane.
11:38 Right 3rd Exit A4142 -> Oxford Road (Littlemore). Right lane.

13:32 Straight 2nd Exit from Rose Hill Iffley -> Oxford Road (Littlemore). Middle lane only.
15:39 Right 3rd Exit Rose Hill Iffley -> Ring Road to Swindon, Newbury, Abingdon, Henley, Wallingford etc. Middle or Right Lane. Using Middle Lane (preferred)
18:23 Right 3rd Exit Rose Hill Iffley -> Ring Road to Swindon, Newbury, Abingdon, Henley, Wallingford etc. Middle or Right Lane. Using Right Lane (same as above starting different lane)

I cannot thank you enough for these videos. I passed my exam 2 days ago with 3 minors, and the route was through the littlemore roundabout. I ve watched this video countless times and it payed off. Props to my instructor as well.
Comprehensive! Great video - a valuable watch no matter how long one's been driving locally. I've lived in Littlemore for 17 years, and pretty much every trip across this roundabout results in seeing somebody making a mistake.
Finally passed this morning, have watched all of your videos of the test routes, they really helped me pay more attention on the road signs and road marks. Did littlemore roundabout from ring road(sandy lane joined dual carriage way) turn toward rose hill. Can't skip your videos even while you were waiting for traffic light, because you were constantly talking useful tips and things need to be aware of or anticipate way before hand. Thank you so much for this, it's really useful. Finding the southern Oxford roundabouts from Headington through to Heyford Hill a challenge at the moment. I've heard more than one person comment now about Littlemore being the most difficult roundabout on the Oxford test.

At 9:52 both marking point ahead, could the right lane at this point also take the same exit you took? It doesn’t look like there’s enough space for two cars at that exit though.

Question for you.. Coming from the oxford road taking 3rd exit can you not take the middle lane once on the round about instead of taking right lane and moving over 2 lanes to go to slow lane when joining A4142?
Yes, that was the other way of doing it but my cameras were nearly out of battery so I done it the way I showed here as that will be the way most people will do it.
Got my test in a week. I've driven into Broad St and up to the Cowley Works roundabout but that's the sum total of my Oxford experience. Getting nervous about this roundabout now.

Cowley to iffley its really hard to go middle or left lane. Couldn't I use middle lane instead of right lane.
No, right lane only. Examiners and test centre manager have said you can't use the middle lane there to turn right from that side.

This video is useful but would be much better if you were to sit facing the direction of travel. Now I don't know which lane you're driving on. You talk a lot and well, but too fast. The cameraman should sit on the left side and show the direction of travel, and I don't need to see you while driving, just your comment is enough. Best wishes Marian😃😇
