About the V7 with the Playmate 2 - In general and specifically in the treble, the frequency response is neutral?

Close to neutral, just minor hint of coloration with emphasized macro details, but done in a very good way

Is it worth upgrading v6 to v7 in my burson conductor 3r if I use equalizer to adjust sound ?
You already have V6 and you use EQ, the improvements are marginally really since V6 was already super resolving. We are talking about diminishing returns here once you are at that level
Why didn't you use the silicon straps for the op-amps?

im new to this opamp, my pre is opa1612, how much improvement can i get in v6/v7 on replacing my opa1612?
While OPA1612 is marginally better than the NE55 series, V6/V7 are markedly improved performers over both OPA1612 or NE55 when it comes to sound clarity/cleanliness, resolution and imaging.

The 5532 is crap.
Everything is better than that.
