I loved to watch John he was hilarious. And I was brought up on Country music so yes I know that Tex was a country singer. He was great. To bad Tex couldn't have givin his blessing to John for his ability to act until the end.
What I remember most about the show Three’s Company was the episode where Lucile Ball paid tribute to John and his costars. He had an amazing career that was sadly cut short. RIP John Ritter
Yes, I knew Tex Ritter was a country singer. I heard him sing live on stage in a concert. My parents liked that type of music, and took me with them once when I was a child.
My favorite drama role is Slingblade. He was truly perfect for that role! In interviews he seemed like a really nice person. I would have liked to meet him to tell him thanks for all his Fun 😊😁 rest well my friend.
I WORKED WITH JOHN ON"STONEKILLER" FILM...& WHEN I WAS A 12 YEAR OLD KID, HIS DAD, "TEX"RITTER CAME TO FRESNO & I SANG ON THE RADIO WITH HIM...JE..WEHO..12/2021
yes I knew that Tex Ritter, a Singing Cowboy, Opry member and CMA Country Music Hall of Famer and he started the Country Music Association back in 1961 and was its first president. And that Jonathon Southworth Ritter AKA John Ritter was his son along with son Thomas Ritter and Jason, John's son was third member of the Ritter acting clan. Tex before he started as a Singing Cowboy , briefly studied law but stopped due to the Depression. Because of his voice Tex would do radio work including shows on WSM 650 AM with radio legend Ralph Emery. John's mom Faye Ritter supported Opry members when Tex was a member. I am glad to hear that Thomas got the surgery to correct the heart/cardiac issue. Aortic Disection is more common than we first believe and families need to have it checked out to avoid tragic situations like Tex and John.
Yes I did and was a TV repair company and went to his late father's house in Toulca lake. But the new owner told me who own before him that was Tex Ritter. And saw pictures of John R. at a Catherer Co. in Glendale. The owner knew him by doing a catherer a party for him.
I was @ work when I saw the news of his death on TV. I was totally shocked! I still miss him. Yes! He could also do drama. But, I sooo loved his physical comedy in 3's Co. & loved 8 Simple Rules. There was a sweet on screen camera routine John & his father did together. I think he was 12 yrs. old.
Yes, I did know Tex had an heart illness. One of Tex's big hit songs was: Hillvilly Heaven and A Deck of Cards. I have a photo of Tex Ritter and his band and I think Tex was about 35 to 40 in this photo I would attach the photo but I don't have that knowledge.
*Correction:* John Ritter died from an aortic dissection, which isn't a "heart attack." An aortic dissection is a tear of the aorta which if it ruptures can cause internal bleeding. It could also cause a myocardial infarction, which is colloquially referred to as a "heart attack" if the exsanguination also leads to decreased blood flow to the coronary arteries. It often presents with symptoms similar to a myocardial infarction and is in the differential diagnosis for it and this is what Ritter's doctors thought he had and misdiagnosed him. (His father's death was listed as "heart attack" He wasn't diagnosed with an aortic dissection, but his family believes that since John and his brother had it that his father's cause of death was probably misdiagnosed as well *but there is no confirmation of this, only speculation* ) so we need to be careful when we put just any information out there in a CZcams video that may not be correct. I suppose if they really wanted to know, they could exhume Tex and see if his remains haven't decomposed enough to make viewing the aorta impossible to confirm or refute the theory, but it is just a theory. Even if they could get DNA from Tex's remains and test for a gene, that would only confirm that he carried the gene, but would not be sufficient enough to diagnose him with it or confirm that it's what he died from (again, unless you could actually see his aorta.) By the way, everyone who dies dies from a heart attack--including suicide victims, people who were hit by a bus, the victims of 9/11 attacks cancer patients, etc b/c everyone's heart stops, which stops blood flow to the brain and organs, leading to death. But this is not a "myocardial infarction" which is the true medical term for "heart attack."
PS: If you personally ever go to ER for chest pains and a suspected "heart attack" (myocardial infarction.) there are 2 things that might raise suspicion that would be easy to request as a patient. 1. Ask them to check your blood pressure in both arms. There will be a difference in aortic dissction. 2. ask them to do a D-dimer blood test on you. If normal, it's definitely not a dissection. if abnormal, it could be but still might not be. There are better, conclusive tests that can be done but they probably won't unless they have a high index of suspicion. These two things will at least point them in that direction.
It is odd That his father had no respect for actors. Tex Ritter himself was a famous western movie actor in the 30s and 40s. Many of his movies are available here on CZcams. I like to watch the old B Westerns and I see his films often.
One has to do what they're meant to do in live. John had acting in his DNA, something that can't be denied. John wasn't a singer and preferred acting. Tex should have known better.
Gotta tell found Robin Williams standup, pulls John up on stage with him, John shines, I think John was the only one to hang with Robin, love him, got a new found respect for John!!!!!!!!!
Did, you listen it wasn’t that he didn’t support both of his son’s careers, he supported his son that was a attorney because, he discouraged them both from show business, it was John’s career he didn’t support but, after he saw him play the preacher in the Walton’s, he gained his dad’s respect back.
I have got a movie DVD of John Ritter in a episode of Telly Savalas as Kojak as I am dedicating these movie DVDS as I have the whole collection of Telly Savalas as Kojak as Sylvester Stalone is in an episode too to my old school friends who are both sisters as I hope to see them both again very soon to Chris Marie and Hester from Billyxxxxx
It's a shame that the hospital John was rushed to right across the street from where he was filming 8 Rules didn't know about John's father's rare heart condition that he died from. If they'd known, they would've treated him differently, but treated it like a heart attack which made the condition he had worse (torn aorta). You'd think that John or his wife would've known to mention that at the hospital. John was best in his slapstick comedy on Three's Company. Love that show. Gone too soon. Glad he reconciled with his father before he passed on. Unfathomable that his poor little daughter has gone through transgenderism. What a travesty.
Yes I knew who John's father was bit no I didn't know they had bad hearts very sad . they were bot good at what they did and glad they made up before Tex died . John was alway funny and I will miss his funny side .
@@FactsVerse Your welcome. John Ritter was one of my actors when I was little. My mom always had it on the oldie TV channel and I watched Three's Company a lot.
Wait a second Tex Ritter married a actress. So this sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me. Why would Tex marry a actress if he thought acting was beneath him?
It is something that the second wife is worried that the daughter would be afflicted with the genetic heart disease. Now she have to add the mental stability of the daughter that wants to play forever pretend, wants to be a boy. What tragic predicament she's in.
Why would Tex Ritter be negative about acting when he was in movies himself? His son John was great on 3s company. Thanks to television John is more known than his dad. 😊

I loved John Ritter. He kinda looks like my brother 😂! His silliest & physical comedy was GREAT. Reminds abit of Dick Van Dyke
