Loved Alabama what a great band I was working 4 a trucking company out of Alabama and they had a big picnic and Alabama played all their songs for us drivers it was fantastic 😍 never forgot that what a grand old time we all had
Was great to hear "Real Country Music" again.. still one of the best! sad what age does.. plus the loss of their cousin.. icons of the music industry, crossed over to rock music in the early 80's..
Greatest country band of all time. We miss Jeff Cook but its not Alabama without Mark Herndon. Hope they reconcile before its too late. Miss the old days of the real band.
He has some neurological stuff going on. I forget just what but you can tell. But yeah he wasn't and I don't believe he even could strum with his right hand. Crowd was into it and I bet it kills him he can't run around like he used to.
Its a shame because he used to be so energetic on stage. His words seemed to be very sluggish and just like "yah lets get done and get of here". Reminds of George Strait in Pure Country when he said he just got tired of the smoke and lights and was ready to let it all come to an end.
I remember seeing them at Myrtle Beach as " Big Country " ..use to sneak in as a teenager then . Bought their 1st album and its been a sweet ride ever since . Sure wish Jeff Cook could have been there to receive the Award too ...Thankyou Alabama for the great music and memories!!!
Remembered this cool song when I was a kid. My dad would have WCKG on the radio here near Chicago, and he would play the station when he would drive our Ford LTV station wagon at the time
The original drummer was never a member of Alabama according to Randy Owen. It's the idea of the label to include him in the picture to make it like the Beatles of country music. That's why he never sing in the band but to play drums only
Having seen Alabama many times, it brought a tear to my eye seeing Randy and Teddy without Jeff. The guitar and fiddle solos just weren't the same. ❤ RIP Jeff Cook.
To my ears this sound like original country music but then I'm only a fan not an expert.. Amazing collaboration! #ABC #Entertainment #CMAFeast2023 #Alabama #MoutainMusic #2023 ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
OMG THIS MADE ME CRY!! My parents live in Ft Payne Al up on Lookout Mtn just a few miles from Randy Owen. Go into the grocery store and see one of them 😅!! THEY WERE THE BEST EVER!!!!!! NO ONE COMPARES TO THEM!! R. I. P. Jeff Cook. 😢❤
Well randy and teddy of alabama done. A lot things for us so we thank them for the 50 years I don't care about the bad things you say them that's your opinion and I have God bless them ❤ alabama ..
Haven't thought about this group for years then randomly digging up spuds this afternoon and this song popped into my head, even the bit where the pace picks up. Wondered at the time why it had come into my head. And now here we are, it's just popped up as suggested viewing. How very weird, LOL.
Well you'll soon find out they recorded a lot of pop sounding songs in the 80s, which they got a lot of flack for. Still great music, but it's not like this.
Unbelievable - they still sound the same (which is to say, great!) as they did back in the 80's! So refreshing to see a band from back in the day that still performs at the same level of excellence despite the passing of years. There are (sadly) so many other bands that just don't have what it takes any longer, but they still keep getting on stage. Sad to watch, really. Take care and God Bless.
@@friendsfan8587 if you dont find anything wrong with it then thats your opinion. if others have a problem with it then that is there opinion. THAT is how the wqorld works. I dont like the song I agree with those who DONT like it. THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT THE GREAT BAND ALABAMA NOT JASON ALDEAN.
He was an employee of the Alabama corporation. He didn't get 25% of the pie like he would have had he been an official member. In fact he wasn't on any of the albums. Basically Randy, Teddy, and Jeff were family and they hired Mark before the band got big. The record company wanted them to put Mark on the album covers and present him as an actual member but business wise he wasn't a member, just a paid employee like the rest of the band sans Randy and Teddy are today.
CMA is becoming Woke! Bring Jason Aldean's song back. It's not about committing the violence, just defend our community & family when they bring the protestors & rioters to peaceful hardworking towns. They come with guns, pepper spray & attack people when they are going about everyday business, because we may not have same ideas as they do.
@jamesm9327 what do you say country is? When they sing of heartbreak or getting drunk? I think that song is more country than any song these new WOKE think their country artist (that you probably love) have put out. Jason Aldean is singing about how real country people take care of their neighbors & feel about our country! I left country music for a while due to all the new WOKE artist & their stupid ideas, cause country music is about life & WOKE ISM is not the kind of life I want. Aldean's song has opened that door again, and I LOVE it. "Try that in a small town " is a true country song!!!

Alabama was my #1 band in the ‘80s, I had every album. But now y’all are just a tribute band, Jeff Cook is dead, and you screwed over Mark Herndon so bad there’s nothing left of the old vibe. You hire a bunch of young side musicians to fill in the sound, & Randy & Teddy stand up there like old relics. It’s time to stay home boys!
The GREATEST COUNTRY MUSIC BAND OF ALL TIME!!!
I agree
I second that!
I agree
😁😁🥰🙈
No doubt about it.
Alabama, BEST country band then, now and forever!❤❤❤ RIP Jeff Cook ❤️
Wow
Agree, always and forever!
Hello, how are you today? Nice to meet you here.
yes there (were)this is rough to watch..
Alabama ruled the Country charts in the 1980’s. I believe they were named Artist of the Decade for the 80’s. Legendary band!
Alabama and George Strait......you don't need anything else in my opinion.
They are a once in a lifetime group. Enough said. Not trying to be sarcastic. The facts don't lie.
I agree..THE greatest country band ever. ♥️ you Randy and Teddy. Miss you Jeff💔😥
Hello, how are you today? Nice to meet you here.
Don't forget Mark Herndon
Loved Alabama what a great band I was working 4 a trucking company out of Alabama and they had a big picnic and Alabama played all their songs for us drivers it was fantastic 😍 never forgot that what a grand old time we all had
40+ yrs later and this song is still a staple of country music.
@jonalbro1188: Yes, it certainly has stood the test of time and then some!!
Jeez, takes me back to being 12yrs old. Loved Alabama
Huge fan of both alabama , jason aldean both fantastic 👏 ❤
The Beatles of country music. My mom's favorite group. Seen them 4 times. Put on a great show. There will never be another Alabama. RIP Jeff Cook.
eeeewwwww, beatles sucked, alabama was good back in there day,not so much now.
Have always been a huge alabama fan for years i love the group alabama ❤😂

Wow
So pleased to see these guys are still around!

Now it will never be the same without Jeff
Remember those days ...something great music coming from them ....
Now that is REAL COUNTRY MUSIC! On a side note, I could tell Randy didn’t want to be there, looked like he was still grieving over Jeff’s passing.
Wow
He's 73 years old. I'm sure he's slowed down quite a bit, but Jeff's passing likely didn't help.
Yes, he wasn't even really playing, the other leads did a great job creating that iconic Alabama Sound....
He has some neurological stuff going on. I forget just what but you can tell. But yeah he wasn't and I don't believe he even could strum with his right hand. Crowd was into it and I bet it kills him he can't run around like he used to.

That was beautiful!
Grew up listening to this amazing group! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
same old voices that don't change over the years 💖👍

Damn, gives me chills hearing them. Was raised in the 80's on Alabama.
I love the way she plays with her fiddle, she's awesome

Wow after all these years. They still got it.
Totally Awesome… Way to go Randy and those ‘Bama Boys 🎸!!
That never gets old, makes my eyes water up everytime
It's nice to see 2 members of Alabama performing together without the other 2 it will never be the same
Hello, how are you today? Nice to meet you here.
nope, one is dead and the other they dont want to give any credit too.sad but true!!!
Yep. This isn't Alabama. It's 2 former members with a backing band
The original drummer was never a member of Alabama according to Randy Owen. It's the idea of the label to include him in the picture to make it like the Beatles of country music. That's why he never sing in the band but to play drums only

I grew up listening to them in the 90's. Truly one of the best country bands.
LOVE, to Randy and the Guys. This is one Long haul driver from the 1980. Your concerts were awesome and more. NastyHabit of northern Idaho.
Great Country band one of my favorites. Seen them in concert in Detroit 3 times
Seen them twice at Pine Knob
Hello, how are you today? Nice to meet you here.
I just happened upon tickets for these legends, right around my father's 75th birthday. Coincidence? I think not!
They have always sounded amazing.
Grew up on these guys...absolute perfection in the country rock genre! CARRY ON MY DIXIE BROTHERS {X}
They still sound as good as they they did when they first started! ❤️ always!
We love you Alabama great country band

its about money!!!jeff died, and the drummer is fired!!who cares,we want money!!!!
Legends of their time and of today. Love every song they sang.
Bet it's hard with out Jeff. I'm lucky to have seen them at least 7 times over years. ❤❤️RIP JEFF COOK❤️❤️

Sorry about Jeff Cook. You will always be my favorite group. 👍♥️🇺🇸

Love Alabama saw that fiddle girl

Howdy
RIP Jeff Cook!
Where’s Aldean’s performance?
It was pulled from the telecast
Alabma is better than Jason Aldean. We dont need no political bull crap in music
@@Brandon_85no it was not

There used to be four, now there are only two.
Can anyone explain, why the original drummer, Mark Herndon, was never an official member of Alabama?

May the south riase again confederate state s of America
Somewhere in the great beyond, Jeff is smiling down on his cousins.
He is smiling up.
They still sound great, but I can't help noticing that they don't jump around as much anymore. (I can relate!)
Just ain't the same without Jeff and Mark.

That’s the country music I grew up with not the crap that’s out today.
RIP Jeff, your fiddling will be be missed.
Who did they replace Jeff with?
RIP Jeff Cook.
George Lucas sounds great
Is it just me, or is Randy Owens barely playing the guitar now? Love to still see them out there though.
He barely strummed a chord...
Im seeing potential numbers aint getting they drew good ones at the fan club too.
Is Randy ok he didnt look or act like he felt a bit good.
George Lucas on vocals everboday
Sad. Randy still has the voice but barely could play his guitar and no Jeff Cook on the fiddle. Dang I miss the old days.
I lost all respect for Randy, Jeff and Teddy, after finding out the Drummer Mark Herndon was treated like a Street Urchin by the Three Cousins.
love the live version until they get to the "hide away ey ey ey" and Randy spends way to much time with the call and response

I agree with Aldeans message 100% and agree that it shouldn't have been taken down. But let's be honest that song isn't country at all and it sucks.

Love this song, but gotta say Randy is looking a little Ben stein-ish… not a lot fire left in em. Teddy ain’t far behind
The only country music on the whole damn show.
Süß , oder ?
Die beiden sind auch schon über 70
Und die meisten im (sichtbaren ) Publikum jünger als die 45 Jahre die es Alabama schon gibt.
poor randy is looks so lost!!!just stop and retire with a little dignity at best!!!
