Funny, Alien (1979) release date is closer to 1954 than 2024. Only 25 years gap between 1954 and 1979 but 45 years between 1979 and 2024. Still a great film that holds up today 👌🏼

In the film, the slime was effectively created using wallpaper paste - nowadays, computer simulations use particle simulations that apparently were not available back then.
