The novelisation talked about the terminator slicing open the calf of each dead Sarah with an x-acto knife to check for an injury or wound to confirm it was her, but Kyle Reese stated at the police station that she didn't yet have that wound, meaning that the terminator essentially had a never ending mission ahead of it, since it would've assumed the right Sarah was the wrong one when she didn't have the injury, meaning that it probably would've went from state to state, and maybe even country to country eliminating every Sarah Connor it could find once it eliminated the right one!!!
Plus, the t-600 terminators were 8 foot tall, and yet the resistance were said to recognise them by their rubber skin! How many 8 foot tall fully human soldiers did the resistance have????

The effects seem especially mind blowing with the huge backgrounds blowing up or being on fire or crazy other phenomenon.. maybe because that's the first stuff OG AI was used for? It's like evolution of a species

In the 1950s it was impossible to make a movie like Terminator without it being a complete botch. It was already difficult to make it in 1984 with the special effects of that time, and now that film is seen with Schwarzenneger's very primitive animatronic tricks, so imagine 25 or 30 years earlier.
