This is so true about those lists, I started out that way and it has been very difficult that has been one of my greatest or the greatest downfall. I am just now learning how to do it without using those lists. It’s so easy to want to use them, but it in the long run is more difficult when it makes no sense. Thank you so much for this!
Please forgive the long delay in replying, but CZcams suddenly stopped sending me the comments via email and I just found dozens of them! Yes, I agree 100% about the combo lists. It's no different than someone always mindlessly following recipes rather than learning how to cook! If you learn how to cook, you'll never need another recipe - other than to give you some fresh ideas - but you have to stop relying on them first.
The Facebook group activity that you post of pairs really exemplifies your point in this video. Often you get 30+ comments with a slew of different possibilities.
Exactly! When you’re asking for interpretations from others or using combination lists, you really have to be an “educated consumer” to be able to sift though all of it to find what’s valuable and what’s not.

I have noticed so many ppl have different meanings for the cards, I also do not learn list (pairs). It’s confusing with all the different meanings.
You are so welcome! I only teach the traditional method which consists of the original meanings of the cards that came with the early decks. Many people throughout the world began using these cards and gave them different meanings. I always suggest that people learn the traditional meanings first, and then they can adjust them to their own Preference. But you have to understand that the original system is just that, a system. The meanings work together and are in place for a reason. When you change a meaning, for one card, you disrupt the entire system.

I have Caitlin Matthew’s book. It’s good, but I’m already used to your teaching so I want to read your books and this way I’m not using other ppl systems. I do try to learn a little a day and not overwhelm myself. But at times it still feels confusing. I have no intrest in learning the houses or inserts.

Secrets of Lenormand by Sylvie Steinbach is the book that gives combos in order of the cards. (hers are based on modern meanings, though, not traditional)
Thank you! Yes, I have that book and checked and she does differentiate (though not always) between Bear+Child and Child+Bear. If she used traditional meanings, I'd recommend it to everyone! It's still a great book. 🙂
I've only recently found your channel and I'm loving it. I ordered your book The Petit Lenormand Oracle and I am so looking forward to reading it and learning even more about Lenormand. I found the same problem with tarot which I have read for years but still feel like a beginner at times. Following the book meanings so rigidly that I was having problems interpreting the messages of the cards. I found I needed to stop being so tied to the book meanings and start using my reading skills and intuition and then I started getting messages that made more sense. Oh and stay with the question is a big one for me too. I would find myself reading along on the cards and when I reached the end I realized I had totally forgotten to stick to the question. It helps me to write the question down so I can keep referring back to it and keep myself on track. Thanks for all the great videos, I'm learning a lot.💖💖💖
I'm so glad my channel is helpful for you. You're absolutely correct about relying more on your own intuition than books or websites. Think about it - all the meanings and interpretations you read about were intended for someone else - for another reading for another client at another time. We have to know what the cards mean to US and beyond that, we have to use those meanings as guidelines or parameters, not rigid rules. And, you're so welcome!

I've read, and I'd like to know if you agree, when the Mice card comes after the Mountain, it gnaws or lessens the obstacles represented by the Mountain. What you think about it?
As I said in the video - the Mice will indeed make the obstacles of the Mountain smaller, but consider the action of the Mice. It's a slow and anxious decay of something and always accompanies an unhealthy mess to deal with. Like trying to climb a mountain in flip-flops rather than hiking boots. You'll get to the top but it will take a lot longer, be a lot harder, and you'll have to keep stopping to tend to your blisters! Just as the Coffin ends things but leaves you depressed and exhausted. In both cases, you need a positive card of upliftment following to bring things back to a healthy balance.
I’m glad I didn’t get hooked on lists for card combinations. I really prefer, as in your books, a conversation about card meanings; you cleverly include comparisons and combinations as examples but not as long reference lists, per se. I also appreciate the abundance of “white space” in your first book; it allows me lots of room to make my own notes especially after each card’s descriptions. Thanks! And I read in one of your replies to a comment that you’re not only finishing book 3 and working on book 4 (yay! Even though I have zero interest in the Grand Jeu) but also back to dog training - cool beans!
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. That's very helpful for me! As for book 3, it has much more to offer than information on the Grand Jeu because of the complexity of the system. I think it'll appeal to people to use strictly as oracle cards. Because of the Roman-Greco/Egyptian myths, Hermetic Laws, astrology, and geomancy attached to the cards, they are amazing cards to use as you'd use an oracle deck with a guidebook. Each card is linked to an I Ching hexagram as well and I haven't mentioned that to anyone yet! And, it's GREAT to be back into dog training! I feel alive again!!

I can’t imagine how I would make an entire video on that. Everyone has a spirit guide, which in the Christian faith has traditionally been called a guardian angel. And yes, there’s more to it than that. We have a primary guide like a guardian angel that stays with us for life, but we have many many other guides that work with us at any given time in our lives. We don’t have to know who they are, or give them a name or even call upon them specifically because as long as we ask for their assistance, they will show up on their own. In other words, the right guide will show up at the right time for the right job. Their intentions are always the same, to help us through our journeys in this lifetime. and they want to make our paths through all of the challenges we face as comfortable as possible but they want to place us in the right places at the right time so that we learn the lessons that we came here to learn. The more I talk about this the more I think I could make an entire video. Lol! I hope what I just wrote helped.

Good evening Lisa/I see the mice as strugle for somebody to recognize our efforts-withthe mountain after/with the mountain first!T LAST the obstacle of recognition is being overcome-
Mice , like the Coffin, to a traditional reader, end things in a bad way. With the Mice, you’re left with a dirty mess, disease, and contamination (think of a mouse infestation - the plague). The Coffin ends things in an exhausting and depressing way. Both require a positive card of overcoming, moving on, rising up - after in order to give you a happy ending.

Thank you so much! The reason you don't see much about timing on my channel is because I don't really read for timing. As a channeler, whenever I ask about timing, I get the same answer - when the time is right! LOL! When you line up with the frequency of what you desire. When you expect it because you know it's right for you but are happy where you are at the same time - when you aren't clinging to or needing it to happen - that's when all doors will open. In card reading, If you read like me, you simply follow a story line where you can easily see when things begin to take shape - you can see when the energy changes - especially in a GT - you'll see when the doors open or if they won't, you'll see why. I hope that makes sense.

One of the most important things I’ve heard you say was these cards are not set in stone as people have free will and one person or one event can change the entire reading in the future. So thank you for that. I am taking a class from someone and this is something he is trying to teach me, but I can’t find anything on explaining it. @@nycayugaducks2295 It's absolutely true that nothing is set in stone. If it weren't, free will wouldn't exist and we'd be nothing more than puppets. This is a sentiment that's consistently repeated when I channel. It's also a teaching of the I Ching as well as all major religions. The cards are excellent to show you where energies are heading and can be great to use to offer suggestions on your options, but in the end, you have to do the choosing and every choice has a consequence. That's the Law of Attraction in action! Or the Hermetic principle of cause and effect or karma (whatever you want to call it), it's all saying the same thing - your thoughts and ideas and feelings and actions you take on them today are creating your tomorrows. 🤩

So sorry about that! You're not the first to ask me and I made certain to not use any abbreviations in my new book! It stands for "not applicable". You can substitute the word, none or "doesn't apply" whenever you see it.

Not at this time. Personally, I use Google translate. The photo option allows you to translate entire sections or pages at a time. It's not perfect, but it does a good job.
