    Get a “line” wrench for steel brake,oil, and fuel lines. Makes it a lot easier loosening those fittings, especially brass ones that can round off. It looks like I may be replacing the gov on my ‘49. I went to reinstall it during engine rebuild and the mounting surface of the housing looks like it is warped. How in the world that thing changed shape just sitting in a box for a year is beyond me, but the tractor is 73 years old and I am not sure if the gov was replaced in 1966 during restoration but I think it probably was.

      @@jactor7274 Update: governor bolted up ok. Got the engine running Oct. 11, runs good too.

    That's weard my generator is on the left side of my 8n 1952 model thanks for the video tho

      That’s because you have a late model. That means you probably have a side mount distributor. Mine is a 1948

      Yes it was. But I recently rebuilt the old one and now using it
