Crema isn’t an indication of the quality of your extraction or the taste. It’s just foam. I can make a crema out of Folgers coffee pushed through a small hole at high pressure.
@@alakazam482 There is a difference. Espresso crema is comes from carbon dioxide released from the grounds. In an aeropress that same CO2 is released during bloom when you pour your water into the brew chamber. The foam that this cat is making is generated by churning up the coffee under mild pressure. That’s why it looks so weak. Either way, the goal is to make coffee, not foam.
I tried this. I did not get foam. 😢 I will keep trying. Meanwhile, I do like the coffee, nice and strong like an espresso but without having to have a big, expensive machine.
I roast my own coffee and grind just before brewing so yes, the coffee is very fresh. I’ve managed to get a very little bit of foam since then but it only lasts a few seconds, it’s not real crema. However, I still like the Aeropress.
It is possible to generate only a little over 1 bar of pressure with an Aeropress. Real espresso requires 9 bar or even more. Good coffee concentrate with a bit of foam, but not real espresso with crema.
@@1337murk It is though (not tho), I own an Aeropress and with the right technique you can actually make crema. A little research and practice goes a long way...
Just wanna point out, you used a paper filter so no oils and it is no where near espresso. You’re getting there is a very strong, paper filtered coffee that has good clarity but most likely rather bitter
There are a few things you can try: Method 1-Add a little water to bloom the coffee grounds, wait for 30 seconds then add the rest of your water. Insert the plunger at an angle then pull it upright, creating suction. Allow to brew then push through. Method 2. Use the aeropress upsidedown. This is called the inverted method and should be used at your own risk.
The cap it comes with will not do what he is doing here. He is using the flow control cap. The only way to not have the water start going through the coffee is to use the inverted method, or try to put the plunger in quickly, and pull out a bit to create suction.

Ah shit, I stirred mine counterclockwise.
I prefer the counter clockwise method to confuse the coffee bed. Makes the flavor so much weirder.
If you’re in the southern hemisphere, you’re supposed to stir it counter clockwise.

I can’t not hear it
I swear I thought that’s what this was at first

Looks awesome, I’d suggest lowering the temperature for a dark roast, about 200F
Great addition to an already excellent coffee ☕️ maker!
Thanks for the kind words! We love to hear that 🙌☕️
Question: What is much better for make a delicious creamy Expresso, this filters or the Prisma Filter? Thanks

A clear glass and a zoom in please
Just bought one
I have used mine to filter river water, then boiled the filtered water. It's cheaper than a named brand.
Is the espresso or black coffee?
I still can’t get this thing to make crema lol
You won't
Still like aeropress for coffees but ended up with a flair classic lever machine for travel.

Nope. Its co2
that's foam created by the coffee blasting out the hole, not crema
Crema is foam. There is no difference between them

Is there a link to the addition?
Dude are you a rapper
God loves you
Does it work with the metal filter?
yes.

Here for the bypass expensive equipment sentiment as well! #shitsexpensive
Did you use freshly fine ground coffee or just normal pre ground? I hate pre ground with a passion

U don't have to whisper,my guy😂😂
I can’t tell you how many time I will spill that coffee
That final coffee is absolutely not what came out of your Aeropress, you obviously added foamed milk to it

Agreed he also used close to 200ml of water which is unheard of. I do 90ml to 30g for “espresso” Aeropress.
Alas? Why alas? Didn't turn out as expected?
Why is mine leaking??? When I pour in the water, it immediately goes through my coffee grounds. And my coffee is already pre grounded .

210 is way too hot to make coffee or espresso. 185, maximum.
