Hey! How do you give finishing touch up to resin work?
@@livingink-fantasyworld746 Are the 2 white pigments MIXED with resin, or do you just apply them straight to the existing resin?
@Thor
Yes! The whites must be mixed with resin, first!
I LOVE that you show us your mistakes and let us learn with you. MOST helpful video I've watched so far (and I've watched a lot of em)
Your cat just wants your attention. 😉👍🏼
Please do more vids where you explain your thinking.
Cat chat is fine!
I love to hear people describing their thought process.
I find any videos with music are off putting as I rarely enjoy the music!
So please talk away! 👍🤪
Love this channel! Thankyou for making these videos.
Thank you so very much for this video! I have been trying over and over to get this effect right, adding silicon or alcohol, and none of it comes out like this, This is exactly the type of video I was looking for, I'm very grateful you took the time to explain this to us beginners!
Thank you so much for the info. Yours is the first video to show the actual technique rather than just showing off your talent. Thank you for talking about things like resin thickness which turns out to be a major factor in how the piece reacts tp ink and turns out. Now if someone would just let the public know that YOU HAVE TO LET THE RESIN SIT to acquire the thickness needed to control the pour, we will all be grateful. But you are AWESOME. Love your tutorials.
Thank you for taking the time to explain your methods and why you do them. It makes more sense to me now. I am still new to resin.
I cannot thank you enough for the tips🥰🥰🥰🩵
Thanks very much for this, really informative and helpful. I've had a few tries with cells and lacing using floetrol, silicone oil and acrylic paint in the resin but with no results, so today i'll be in the shed trying this out. Our 2 cats are talkative too, i think people that talk to their cats from kittenhood end up with more talkative cats. Liked and subbed :)
You should be honored with ballons and a parade! I have watched video after video trying to understand what i was doing wrong. Thankyou so much for a clear upfront explanation.
Happy to hear the cat! Love the way each one turned out, Thanks for sharing!
Great video and information on the waves with resin helped me understand
😊😊
Love the way ur explaining the waves, I watched a lot of resin videos and as u said no one really tells you the small details that makes it really pop thank u🥰🥰🥰
I just found your channel and I'm hooked, You really do a great job!!
Great info! I feel like I can finally get it! ❤
I just found your channel and I’m so excited to learn about creating cells with resin. Thanks for sharing!
Great tip! Thank you for sharing, l really love all of your tutorials ❤️
You are the best. Thanks for explaining the waves and cells to us. The waves are kicking my butt too😂❤-- Keep on teaching us🫶
Probably the most informative video on wave cells out of dozens! Thank you so much for it!
I love informational videos like this! I got into Resin making a few months ago. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing with all of us!
Amazingly informative video! Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations & "learnable ones".
Thank you so much for the detailed video. And for the links to what to buy that was a huge help!!!
Amazing discovery! Thank you so much for making this video! It helps a lot😊
I love Bengals! Used to take care of several of them, even had some stay in my home for socialization. They’re SO sweet, very talkative, just, unlike any other breed!
I love the way you’ve explained this!!! I’m new to resin crafting and am having such a hard time creating the cells but I’m so excited to implement your techniques!! Thanks!! I’m now a new subscriber to you!!
So informative! Thank you so much for doing this video
that cat got my attention. i was looking around my room at first!! thank you for your video. very informative and to the point. will be using some of the techniques you showed.
Awesome. Best cell video for waves👍explaining details everyone else leaves out
Thank you for sharing this. It is very informative especially as a newly. My cats have Bengal in them and are also chatty! Piglet was chatting back!!
Rightly said...no one explains it the way you have! You create amazing artwork 🙂
Fascinated w u style and ideas ! Awesome !thanks for sharing🙏🙏🙏❤️
Amazing effects 🙌
Thank you soooo much from Japan 🇯🇵
I am learning a lot watching your videos thank you so much for your videos
Great video - thanks a lot. Will look at all your videos now!
Thank you so much, your tips were super helpful !! Love your kitty too!!
Thanks for the tips. I was wondering why mine weren’t working. Makes a lot more sense now.
I'm very new to resin and I have just learnt alot from this video. Infact I learn lots from all of your videos! There is so much I want to try out now. The real 'aha' moment was realising that I have been pouring my resin to thick. Please don't stop making these videos!
Enjoyed watching your video thanks for the great tips.
Thank you very much to share your experiences 🙏🏻🙏🏻🌺💝 you are a creative artist 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I’ve done a few seascapes now and had success and hadn’t occurred to me the depth of the resin effects it! I’ve only done it on boards so probably why they worked well!!
Very informative. Thank you!
Wow, that was super helpful. Thank you💙
Thanks for this explanation and it sure makes more sense.
Awsome tutorial!!!
Thank you so very much for sharing this!
Loved this video! Going to try your suggestions today. Also subscribing to your channel. Thanks so much! 👍🏽
Great tips. Thanks.
My 2. CAT'S are almost non vocal.
I’m really amazed of your video. I watched every single moment of it. Trust me I scroll up most of the videos i seen. I enjoyed every second of it. Thank you so much . Definitely I’m gonna subscribe you and follow all your videos . Many blesses mwah ❤️🙏🏻😘
Thank you so much, I am failing consistently on making waves. I have watched many videos and still have not got it down. Your tips were helpful and I will keep trying!!
Thank you very much, this is exactly what I needed to learn! 🙏🙏🙏
I've finally figured this one out after many flubs. I wish I had seen this video months ago!
Thank you I learnt so much and appreciate you sharing.
Makes a huge difference in color as well
Great vid, learned so much ♡♡♡
Lots of thanks for this video....
It really points out the difference how the outcome changes with a little more resin!!! I was always wondering where I was going wrong... please make a similar kind of video about the blooming techniques in resin....i am still struggling a lot with that.... love your work 💞
Thank you so much for sharing!! I have been wondering what the heck I was doing wrong! 🤪
Thanks for this video 💜
Thanks I been trying to figure out a fool proof way to get cells and lacing and I have both things you showed
OMG, thank you so freaking much! I'm as happy as I can be now 🥹 I'm new to resin and I tried so many times to make waves and 3d blooms but I couldn't get the effect, and now I understand why and can't wait to try it again 😍 besides no one talking about how u need a thin layer for better results, I never understood that u need to mix the alcohol ink with the white pigment paste to get that effect, might be the language barrier since I'm italian and there aren't that many videos in italian, but of the 4000 videos I watched about this, no one ever specifically said that u need to use the alcohol too, so really, thank you so so so much ❤️
THANK YOU!!! conundrum sorted
Thanks for sharing and I love your Production Assistant❤️
Lol! He’s quite handsome too
Thank you so much I was wondering how come one time I can do it and the next time I can’t I had no idea it had to do with the thickness of my resin so thank you thank you thank you what a wonderful tutorial.
My kitty's a chatty Cathy too, He looks alot like yours, my spoiled baby 🐱. Cant wait to try your tips Thank you! 😁
Thank you for explaining the depths and differences! Like you said, it's completely overlooked in most of the other tutorials out there and the first time I tried to do the beach waves (literally the first resin project I did) they didn't come out quite how they were supposed to. They still look decent though. Thanks again!
Thank you for the video! I love your colour blue! En the wave techniek!
Thank God I found this video! I already wasted a liter of Resin figuring out how can I get those cells! And you have exactly mentioned my struggles, with my ink going down. I'll try your advise and hopefully I will get this wave and cells right! 🙏
Thank you for this
I seriously learned what mistakes I made. Ty
Very helpful! Many thanks for this. Also, I love your kitty!
He thinks his name is handsome
Omg your video had me looking around for our Bengal until I realised it's your one in the video lol
he is loud and proud -such a sweet guy to have around
Answers my question!! I am doing my first deep pour project and was struggling to create a lacing effect. Tried finding an answer on CZcams but did not find anything specific. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Wow this video is super helpful! Thank you so much 😊 definitely no other will mention how thickness can be “responsible “ for designs disappear:(( plus not necessarily to waste all that expensive resin ! Thank you again 🙌🏻
Agreed! You’ve taught me the most during my new journey with resin! Love Cheddar too! 💕
Exactly. I wasted so much resin/$$$ not knowing re. thickness.
Thanks good info and you can stop the over flow by wiping off the underside drips the dripping keeps pulling your resin off does the same with paint.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Because of you I found out I am using Entirely too much resin, and you are right, nobody mentions that! I cannot wait to try again and hopefully get a defined wave, well mine just kept sinking and turning into clouds. So
Girlfriend I put your channel on while I’m doing my artsy things and let your videos run.. I hope you get to the monetizing ASAP because you definitely have the resin art mojo!!! 💯💯💯. And 😻that kitty Cheddar too 😹😹😹
We have a bengal and I knew it you had one before you showed the picture! Great tutorial learnt loads thank you
Lol! Cheddar has a cameo in the best gold for resin video I marked it in the chapters lol 😂
Wow ... Thank you SO MUCH! I can already tell you have just saved me SO much frustration and botched projects 😅🙌 definitely not something I would have though about/considered being a culprit
Thank you!
Excelente!!! Thank you!!!
Thanks!
Thanks, I paid for an online class last summer, and I never get the mixing with the alcohol ink or these techniques, so I assume that I was doing something wrong, paid for expensive whites and resin, and finally give up. Thanks so much to share means a lot
We appreciate the chatty cat!
Thank you so so much I have tried the waves with only opaque white but the waves did not come like the way they should. But now I am going to try with alcohol ink thank you once again.
love your video, could you show us how to do have on a ceramic tile, having trouble torching the white, thank you
Brilliant video explanation for waves and cells. Also my cat Ziggy woke from his deep slumber on hearing your cat lol 😺😻
Lol! Cheddar is even louder in the dragonfly coaster video lol ! If I play the video with Cheddar in the room he sits on the tv stand and admires himself
Thanks 🙏🏼
love your videos, can you advise what mold you used
Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it it so much! I was loosing my mind. LOL
Looooove this
Thank you so much. This really helped. I'm making 12 serving tray centerpieces and just can't get the cells.
I love The blue effects either
Love all your videos! Would love if you talked through making a galaxy coaster.
angel 612 I can work on one, are you thinking the multi colored galaxy with pink, orange, gold, aqua, blue and purple- or the spiral galaxy?
Resin As You Wish I think I’ve watched every one you’ve done and I love them all!
Resin As You Wish I’d enjoy a spiral galaxy video. I haven’t seen that technique on here.
Resin As You Wish I understood the Spiral Galaxy. It’s the multi layered, multiple colors with the micro beads I’d love a talk-thru on 💖💯💯💯🤩🤩🤩
Hello
I love watching you work! I am very glad that you explained the thickness of the resin! Nobody else has ever explained that. I have a question for you. When you put your weight on to do a wave, do you let your white thicken up before you put it on?
Great tips thanx! I have feline studio assistants as well😻
This was actually quite helpful. Cheddar was extremely helpful with his tips as well. This is my first video watching you and it appears by your words that you normally don't speak. I think you should. Cheddar is an amazing cohost! Of course, i am not at all biased! I am a lover of all animals ;) , a new sub and an Amazon customer ;) lol.
I do speak on my tips and tricks videos and am slowly getting better at integrating my voice in, I wasn’t speaking so much before due to throat surgery and basically just figuring out how to record these so they don’t confuse everyone lol- cheddar appears in a few of my videos lol - the dragonfly, the best gold for resin and he is quite a talker and love bug. I could talk about him all day
Thank you for this video. It's very detailed and explains a lot. I'm fairly new to resin pouring and still trying to figure out how to get the effects I want. My question is ... At around 9:20, you used one of your resin coasters to demonstrate one of the white effects. On the back side you showed what happens when you stir the white too much, no cells. Underneath the white there was a little stripe of another pigment that had a gorgeous color shift. Do you recall the name of that pigment or what it is? I love it. Thanks again.
Excellent tutorial. Have you used mica powder instead of alcohol as a coloring agent and conducted similar testing?
Christy so lovely to hear your voice... oh and cheddar man too. Love your Pinterest with your cats they really are pretty . Great video your really thoughtful and a great teacher It was really great to know how thickness will effect the spread and “spring back” of the swirl I tend to make my resin thin like you since I learned mostly from you 😉 lol I do the layers so like it thin however I can answer a couple of your questions.... or uncertainties you mentioned in video.... yes casting craft alone will create cells and lacing so the alcohol ink isn’t completely necessary but doesn’t hurt. I giggled at the reuse of your so called mess up which I thought was brilliant probably could have gone over the top instead of back since it was opaque blue but saw that foil pen when you showed the ” mess up” side. So would love to see more ones with glass and moonstones in with combo of opaque and transparent colors.. how do you make the bottom layers show through do you use opaque first then each layer use more transparent colors or do you use silicone oils to make the open up? Also did you know you can make any color crushed glass by putting some clear glass into a cup add alcohol ink of your choosing stir around till all covered then spread them on a paper towel in a single layer and let dry overnight and you now have crushed glass in any color! You probably already knew that 😂😘
I use transparent layers, but I lighten the color as the layers rise - so dark, then lighter, then usually the top layer is clear so you can see down into it. I"ll use the glass and moonstones again, I have a couple ideas I want to try and couple things I have done, but didn't video and will do again. I ALMOST showed you my spiral galaxy blob coasters in this vid, but forgot LOL
Resin As You Wish Thanks for your reply! Let me ask you though when you made the blue ones with video you used mostly opaque right? But the end result was beautiful but I tried and basically covered the stones and couldn’t really see down 😩
@@caronstone4226 all layers are a mix of transparent and opaque - I specifically put clear on the stones so they dont get hidden and on lower layers, i dont completely fill the coaster just fill in some areas as the layers build it up. You can also go in once the resin is thicker (like peanut butter) move it away from any areas that it sunk into that you want to see
Resin As You Wish 💋🥰😍 thanks
just jumping in here, hi 👋 when I make the crushed glass in different colors I don’t even spread them out to dry. The alcohols evaporate 👌. I make them in the cups they’ll be stored in and stir them up a few times during that same day..close the lids and done.
I was spreading them out but one time I got busy for several hours and when I came back later they were pretty much dry. Now I’ve fine tuned it 😂 (lazy way) Just a few stirs does it! 🥂✌️✌️✌️
