Dimash has a 7/8 octave range, he sings in 15 languages, he plays multiple instruments, sings genres from rap to opera and is the loveliest most humble young man on earth he is also an ambassador for peace. I think you’ll be shocked and amazed to react to olimpico ogni pietra, stranger and ave Maria, actually all of his songs but those 3 shocked me so much, they still do

Thank you. Dimash is a well educated, experienced and phenomenal singer and performer. Please do not take this the wrong way, and I don't mean to insult, but I do not understand something. I live in North America and I have been a Dimash fan for about 5 years. I do not understand how in 2022, people have not heard of Dimash, he has 10M fans in at least 130 countries. The only thing comes to mind, people who are music lovers, who have not heard of Dimash until now... Have been living under a rock ???
His emotion when singing the word "Ikanaide" is because what he is saying is "Don't go!".

Congratulations, and welcome to the DEARdom. Dimash is undoubtedly the greatest vocalist ever to draw breathe! He's got everything, and it's all perfect. SOS will be the next recommenation, either the 'I Am Singer' Chinese TV show, or Slavic Bazaar versions are the best, IMHO. 👌 Both are delivered very differently with the first being a slightly rawer/rockier version, and the latter is a perfect rendition with crystal clear clarity.
He is trained to the enth degree and is at a masters masters masters level boss! And he's not only incredibly talented but an amazing human too, who has stuck to his principals and ethics, as well and his creative licence. Dimash is a gift and I thank the Lord for him, he has become my air and i simply can't get thru a day without him!

Welcoming to Dimash! He always looks as if he is composing when he sings! He is utterly fabulous! My favorite song is probably Endless Dimensions, Sinful Passion , And Love Is Like A Dream. Just everything he sings really.
There is more behind the reason for Dimash's body movements as he sings, he's more than just inviting in the audience into the performance. Think of Dimash's lungs as an accordion taking in air and letting it out, each button you touch is either a note, or pitch change, or an intake of air as you expand the air chamber, all based on the flow of air being pushed in or out of the instrument. Dimash is a human accordion. Lifting your arms up and wide opens your chest allowing for those power or long held notes. His vocal cords are those buttons he touches for the perfect sound. To understand better what I mean study his body movements in his video "Ave Maria" he's expanding his chest with wide arm motions to hold the notes longer. Also just before the last long held note he shifts his stance bracing for the power needed in his body core to release the air for the desired length of time and pitch.

Well welcome to the best in the world. Dimash always paints the notes with his hands etc and always always puts his whole heart and body into each song. Sinful Passion will be in Russian but you will enjoy it. He also sings in English. Check out his cover of Lionel Richie's, Hello or My Heart Will Go On From the Titanic. He also sings in many genres as well as up to 15 languages while being fluent in only his native Kazakh and Russian. That being said, his English is becoming a third language, getting better and better every day.

Another way of putting it from the performance aspect is that Dimash is a good actor - he "prepares" himself for his story and what he wants his audience to feel. He is a Raconteur in Song! Look forward to any musical genre there is (true) and Dimash will be there to leave you speechless and dumbfounded - not an exaggeration! Aloha! There are subtitles to most of his songs. This is in Japanese. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, improving in English and learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in up to 17 languages and plays 8/9 instruments. Started music school at the age of 5. He is the best technical vocalist alive! “Ikanaide” is a Japanese song meaning “Please don’t go”

Ikanaide was used as the title song for a 1989 TV series "Farewell, Lixianglan" co-produced by China and Japan, about a Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamaguchi (12 Feb 1920 - 7 Sept 2014) who was born in China. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li Xianglan. She became famous in China during World War II. However, once the war was over and her identity was revealed, she was accused of being a spy and was deported to Japan. She didn't return to China for many years. Ms Yamaguchi did return to China in her later years as the Japanese Parliamentary Vice Minister of Environment.
This song is saying goodbye to her Chinese name Li Xianglan. It is also a metaphor, as the lyrics speak of how a person has to hide what she feels inside.
In 1993, Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung adapted it into Mandarin with the meaning of the song different from that of the original. He called it Late Autumn. In 2004 the Taiwanese singer and Dimash's friend, Terry Lin, adapted the song into a new Mandarin version entitled "Autumn Strong”.
Dimash performed the Terry Lin version (Autumn Strong) when he participated in the 2017 The Singer competition in China. He sang it in Episode 4 of the competition and it was his first time singing in Mandarin.
Regarding Dimash’s Japanese performance, a Japanese reactor said that Dimash’s pronunciation was perfect. It was as good as a native speaker’s. It shows how much of a perfectionist Dimash is and how many hours he must have spent on his pronunciation and delivery.
In addition, Goro Matsui, who wrote the lyrics to “Ikanaide” praised Dimash’s performance and said:
“I’ve heard ‘Ikanaide’ sung by foreign singers in their native language many times. Even though they all sing great, none of them seemed to quite capture the sound/reverberation and meaning of the original lyrics and perceive the emotions between the lines. In this song, the phrase ~ Ah, ikanaide~ is repeated several times in the chorus. Although they are the same exact words, each line has a different meaning.
“But this is the first time anyone has sung it so beautifully in Japanese. I happened to find Dimash singing “Ikanaide” by chance. The first thing that surprised me was his crystal clear tone and his expressive voice that conveys the lyrics of the song.”

This was from the most recent Tokyo Jazzfestival. He performed this song in Japanese in honor of the original which was written in Japanese and the fact he was performing for the Japanese festival. You should read up on the meaning behind this song. He first performed this song on the Chinese show "Singer" in 2017 in Chinese. The song is called Autumn Strong (in English).
