    The first ship you pointed out and called odd is a LNG carrier is a tank ship designed for transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG). Nice job on the video and editing! Thanks for taking us along with you! Subscribed!

    Thanks for the video and showing west country boating, there's not much of it on the net. I'll look out for your boat at Portishead when next visiting Waitrose for a free coffee after the shop. That is when I can get back to the UK, held up in Vietnam with the lock downs in place and another outbreak, ticket already bought and put on the shelf.
    Since selling my boat back in 2010 I miss being out on the water, the last 3 years I owned her were spent in Belgium and Holland exploring the rivers, canal and lakes. Attended several classic boat rallies while over there as my old tub is a Dunkirk Little Ship.

    That strange vessel is carrying natural gas.
    2.6 US gallons per hour! I’m envious.

    The strange ship is an LNG tanker. They hold enough liquid natural gas to make an explosion equal to a nuclear bomb.

    If Nordhavn actually made their smaller models with walk around side decks instead of insisting on the wide body design I would be more inclined to actually buy one. My respiratory health issues make the walk around side decks a requirement.

      Hi Jacqui, It's not evident from this video but the 47 does have a walk around side deck on the starboard side. It is the smallest of the Nordhavns that have this feature.

      @@Bloater well it is halfway to where it would need to be because of my breathing problems. just need to get the port side with a walk around deck to be a usable model for me. walk around on both sides, the extra distances without would be a killer.

      @@jaquigreenlees Hi Jaqui, I think there were a just handful of the Nordhavn 50 models built with walkaround decks on both sides. Quite rare.

      Biased N40 owner. The 43/46/47 have side walk thru side decks. I was fortunate to be able to spend time on all 3 and the N40 i purchased at the same time on the Nordhavn NW docks. Small point, the N43 side passage is pretty small and more work than just going thru the saloon and pilot house. For most activities, >80% maybe, the distance between front and back is the same side decks or not. Side decks have some advantage for docking and undocking but I’ve never had a problem without. I guess I’d say this most emphatically: side decks or not is NOT a high priority item for choosing or not choosing a Nordhavn. WAY down the list IMHO.

    • @jaquigreenlees
      @jaquigreenlees Před 4 lety

      @@EEB-pp9rp Yet I have problems walking even 30 feet because of my breathing problems, so the extra distance to cross the beam twice if docking port side to is an issue for me. When I say full walk around side decks I mean both Port and Starboard side decks, Nordhavn in general only has a starboard side deck.
      With only 23% of any breath moving out of my lungs, I truly have to be cautious about distances, so avoiding that full beam twice over distance with the usual Nordhavn layout is a health requirement, not a knock on built quality.

    Please don't speed up your videos, just edit them a little better . Nothing like getting motion sickness in the morning.
