The small company that was going to hire me was a sub-contractor for FED-Ex & they wanted me to run from New Castle Del to Harrisburg PA twice per shift. I did the math on that & it's is possible only if absolutely nothing goes wrong & you know how trucking is...absolutely something always goes wrong. I have a truck driving job now but I only work when one of the other 2 drivers takes a day off. I have a lot of free time on my hands so I decided to try Uber. I'm waiting for my background check to clear. At least this way I can still keep the truck driving job & work for Uber because I will only work for Uber when I want. Take care
@@Cruiser007 I work for a small sub contractor for FedEx myself, I run from here Michigan to Toledo, Ohio Monday thru Friday. It's only an hour and a half 2 loads a day. Sorry to hear about that, hope things get better for you.
KKW Trucking this is a 1234 process he did it backwards he passed over things and he also came back to do a lot of things that’s not the rule the rule is 1234 not 4321
For the people wondering why you need to flip the pups. The heaviest pup is the lead pup. By the way when pulling mixed doubles/dropdeck (fedex style, beverage body) or no tandem trucks (ABF style) check the 5th wheel swing clearance. So a long slide 5th wheel is preferred. ( puts the 5th wheel over the last drive axle.) That fancy Volvo 6x2 system where the front axle raises up would be great for this. Check the swing clearance on rhe tractor. Measure center of 5th wheel to rear corner of truck. removable mudflaps are a +. Then measure on trailer center of Kingpin straight back to the drop or dolly legs. The truck measurment should be less than the trailer measurement This is an excellent tutorial, Sir.
remember one important fact about dollies. not all will be the same even if they are brand new just rolled off the line together so you may have to modify what you do to connect and disconnect correctly.
