  • Wow! A direct sequel to the famed Wards and Wardens DLC review - this time coming out in only two weeks after its release instead of a month! I feel its important to play a good chunk of the dlc before I gave some impressions which you can find towards the end of the video. In truth i look back and am suprised that wards and wardens is so disliked because the actual content you get from it is not just minute pippets unlike the friends and foes pack which to my mind is truly terrible im sorry. I think as major dlc titles from CK2 creep their way into the base game, the communties acceptance for the smaller stuff will become more amicapable but until then - i expect a generally negative perspective to continue.

I personally would like to see a DLC about the crusades and the kingdom of Jerusalem. I mean after all, the game is called CRUSADER kings....

House unity is craaazy! I might come back to the game for that. And the tax collection has potential for future development. This game really changes over time, I hope that at some point it will be made more difficult.

They have to provide free content, as the game is broken and unfinished

@puckered6036 the parallels between Total war and Paradox games is astounding. The DLC strategy model is fundamentally broken. I would have easily taken a ck3 upgrade to the scope of ck2 pre- sword of Islam. We might actually have functioning Crusades and Christendom if they did. A game with limited scope is preferable to a broken game.

I feel like to describe CK3 as ‘broken’ is a bit harsh. It’s a full experience, just shallow in places. The free content they have added has all been fantastic as well. It is by no means perfect, and I also want plenty more from the expansions and free updates, but I wouldn’t describe it as ‘broken and u finished’.

@realdaggerman105 I accept that. It's just my feeling when I play the game. For me, the game should be a historical simulation, which I don't think it achieves. One can only discover this after significant time investment, so I've still got my moneys worth, but I'm not enticed by more content which doesn't "fix" the simulation.
