    Lookong at both cars, I feel it's time to say goodbye to my external BEC, with every new ESC internal BECs are better and better. One more battery, some more wires to have in the way, some more weight, and no real reason, any more...

    Awesome vid! Have you ever put a big power plant in and not removed any downforce? Just curious to know what kind of speeds you can expect without trimming the wing and taking those front aero tabs off.

      I haven't. They would cause so much drag and I set them up to go fast.

    I'm runnin a max 5 esc with a tp motor with a 27 tooth pinion on 6s and it flys. I have to rotate tires for every run when i drift with it, complete tire shredder.
    Haven't tested the top end speed yet due to crappy roads around idaho.
    Good advice on the spring set up!

    Great information brother what kind of speeds can you get with the tp 4050 I like how it fits right in with out having to reverse the motor mount

      I'm sure it would run around 140 or close to it. Ive ran 148 with the same setup in a gt Limitless.

    I am waiting on my first limitless to show up. Love your builds. I was wondering why did you flip your motor on your car? Is it just a longer can or for weight?

      Thanks, no the infraction I had needed alot more preload on the front. But all else is same.

      Thanks, I've been 151 on 6s with the orange car, 152 mph on 8s. Yes stock center spool. No spools in diffs.

      Thanks, this is all I do. Then make sure droop is even left to right. If lifting the center of front of car both tires should leave the ground at same time. If not adjust droop to make them even. And I run a good servo.

      Stock diffs, will be trying a locker in front only soon. I dont care for the feel of a locked rear myself.

    How would u do the suspension if u test run on a little uneven roads so the car can bounce but stay straight stiff up the rear an leave the front lose or wats the other option

      I always run the rear stiff. You can soften the front to have a little give but make sure it doesn't compress too much and rub.

      I never mess with toe, I have no way of measuring correctly and the cars run straight so I'm happy.

    What's your ride height? Do you change is with the droop screws only? Or droop screws and shock collar combination? Thanks

      I honestly don't know. Low, as possible without dragging. I use droop screws and then adjust spring tension with collars. On my orange limitless I don't run a splitter. (Allows me to drop car even lower)

      I would use the 4070. longer,more torque,more power available.

      Not that I have seen. The mmx8s runs cooler has better ripple also. Castle says xlx is still king but mmx8s has impressed me.

    Shouldn't you just remove the droop screws wont that make it set low as possible

      No removing them would allow the suspension to rise up fully. The screws tighten down and raise the a arms which lowers the car.

    There's more to it other than shocks and power plant! What about camber and toe-in? Two of the most important settings for doing speed runs! Doesn't matter how much power you got if you can't control it! Pretty pointless video! Thanks for nothing!

      Lol, thanks for your feedback but when the Limitless first came out stock camber and toe settings got me 152mph with these suggestions. I had the fastest limitless for awhile.
