Hi Tom, same for me I’m surprised at the start it ran as good as it did, this was thrown away because of this issue and it was such an easy fix when diagnosed just the way I like it, thanks for watching 🙂👍
I got a BR430 for $50 off of FBMP with a broken coil mount due to user error (flywheel key also sheared but tight bearings). $29 for good used crankcase. Adjusted the knock off carb it cane with a bit and got it running pretty nice. Then after about 3 days it started losing RPM and bogging. I thought i blew it up. Check compression still 150 psi. Remember that screen is inside the muffler. Tried to remove bolts holding screen. One comes easy. The other required an angle grinder with a thin wheel. Screen plugged solid. Just left it off and had to retune my carb. Now it idles better and goes up to full throttle great. Sounds almost exactly like yours. My RPM meter says about 7000rpm on the nose.
Hi for work I like to have 3, I have a big echo PB-8010 and a older square type Stihl BR420 and a BR350 but I might keep this 430 instead of the 350, the BR430 are a very capable blower they do a good job, thanks for watching 🙂👍
Hi Ash, it was nice to see that it was wrong because I then knew 100% that would be the problem, it was an easy save this one and cost me very little, thanks for watching 🙂👍
Good find, upside down metering diaphragm is a first for me!

So carb adjusting was turning out both L and H?

The gasket goes where the petrol flows
When you blow the carb cleaner through the hose does the carb cleaner burn you lips? 🤔
