I really like your opinion! It should be noted that Lara was struggling with a professional and private crisis at the time and was often hurt by the press and others. She had very bad thoughts, she said in an interview. Fans at the door warned those attending her concert, "Lara isn't going to sing, we're singing to her today, we've agreed with the pianist!" 8-10 thousand people together! I was in the audience the night(s) this concert was filmed, and the energy was so electric. To be in a room filled with thousands of other people who love and adore Lara just as much as I do was an unbelievable experience.

It's a dialogue between Lara and her public. She's so unique that people feels it and support her with their souls and voices and she, is so sensitive and humble that allows people to surprise her and sing with her.

Her French Lyrics are "Je t'aime" which means 'I love you', but the fans sing "We love you" back at her!
Which makes the whole thing even more amazing and incredibly touching

I was moved to tears the 1st time I heard this years ago. Imagine being a singer and walking out on stage and having your song sung back to you so vocally by loving fans! I would have been in pieces, she held it together rather well considering!
The night the angel took a step back and was given a gift by those that can only do the day to day... my God this was beyond epic

Lara had separated a few days ago from her partner and it was very sad for her. In this recital, people decided to sing to her to tell her how they loved her. Very exciting.
Dammit, that woman just makes me cry! What a performer, what an artist, what a singer. The complete package.

She had been through a tough time emotionally and professional and she had thought about ending it all , the crowd are singing we love you not I love you .absolutely beautiful.

I'm grateful everytime I'm lucky enough to hear Lara Fabian sing. Jim Hester.
I've given up trying to not get emotional, but after so many failed tries, I just let them flow.
She sings "je t'aime" and the crowd replies with "on t'aime" so i love you / we love you :) Amazing voice!!
What makes it special is that it is a love song that is meant to be sung for the audience, but as the audience then sings for her, which then shows a mutual love between them. True love. And that honesty from the audience and Lara touches me.
A once in a lifetime experience that we have fortunately been allowed to experience. How must it not have been and be in that concert hall when so many years later we can be as moved as many of us have become, by and watch that video.
What is also interesting the audience is speaking to her. She says JE T'AIME but the crowd responds with ONT T'AIME or WE LOVE YOU.

The crowd changed the words from "je t'aime" = "I love you" to "on t'aime" = "we love you". The place is the "Zenith" at Paris with about 5900 people.
Ok, mates, lost you there, but can we just concentrate on the fact that the audience sang 'ont t'aime ' and not 'je t'aime', as in it was a love song between Lara and the audience.

Well hello Montreal! Such a wonderful city. I spent a couple of weeks there a few years ago for work and it was just amazing. Those songs are defiantly on my list and I promise to get to them as soon as I can. The song is "I love you" while the audience sings "we love you". European audiences like to participate in a show. Apparently, she had been going through rough times and the audience was encouraging her.

This is the kind of moment that every artist dream of. Very few got it.
As someone else has mentioned, this was real emotion, from a real life experience in the moment. So I can't resist saying: That's not acting, either! (it's real). She just ended a relationship a few days before this and her fans knew that. At the beginning, one yells "chante pas Lara" (don't sing, Lara). She does live the songs, but it is usually acting, on a very deep level becoming the music and the song. This was a moment in her real life and a glimpse of how loved she really was and is. She isn't afraid to express her feelings for a performance...or for real. She is so special! Her Italian side is so precious in allowing her to feel. My first real love was a Sicilian and part of the fascination was the openness and honestly, sincerity and integrity of feeling I hadn't been exposed to before. I see that in Lara's performances and I love it too!

What you are seeing, and feeling, has so much more than singing a song. We know she is a gifted Vocalist so the performance means nothing in terms of "The Performance". I have watched this several times and each time I realize it is one of the greatest thing I've ever seen. And felt. I want to know what she was thinking after it was over. The Pianist, the Band, particularly the Guitar...had those guys ever seen anything like that before. I wish to hell I was there.

You know, I think this performance hits singers and performance artists different. I'm a singer.. And we LIVE for these moments. This connection with the audience.. The appreciation, the recognition, the reciprocation... This is a phenomenal display of love and adoration from both sides. And the audience singing it as "on t'aime" (WE love you) to her? Wow.... And her last lyrics to her audience being "tu vois, je t'aime comme ça" (you see, I love you, like this..) was the last stab in my heart...
Before this Ihought Je Suis Malade is the most touchy song but when I watch this performance..omg I can't stop crying😭

Music is this universal language that reaches across barriers to make people feel. You didn’t need the lyrics to understand this was a conversation, a mutual declaration of love between her and her fans. As a french speaker, the fan at the beginning telling her not to sing, the crowd knowing every heartfelt word and the power of simply changing “je t’aime” (I love you) to “on t’aime” (WE love you) had me sobbing. What an artist to evoke such devotion!
Receiving such love and devotion from you fans must be an artist dream........so few get this privilege.

You don't have to understand French to feel this song. There are a few artists I listen to and it doesn't matter what language they are singing in, or whether I understand every word or not, what mnatters is that their voice somehow reaches my soul and speaks to it and I can understand on that level.
