when you know the backstory, it is even better. From what I've heard, she was going through a VERY tough time (health issues, boyfriend cheating, drama with record company). She was very depressed. The pianist had made an agreement with the audience without her knowing. Not sure about the accuracy of this, but it is very touching nonetheless. The audience shows her such love and support.
And from what I've learned, she is such a great and warm-hearted person which makes her so well deserving of this.
We must understand in the chorus of the song Lara sings "I love you" when the audience sings to her "we love you"
Lara became the Queen in this concert. Queen to the audiance. The untouchable Queen. The woman and Queen we must protect at all cost. When Lara stood up in the end and walked up to the people, it truely was as their Queen. Beautiful to see. The world needs so much more of this respect and love.
I've never seen anything quite like this before or since.
When someone says why do we need art, just show them this. Artist's have the power to touch peoples hearts.

I've been at her concert last year in Belgrade. It was hours drive in one direction with quite a heavy foot and it was totally worth it. With years she hasn't lost anything, her skill, stage presence, appearance.... Just amazing! A true lady!

Two suggestions for you: "From Lara With Love" is arguably the greatest live concert recording ever created. "Je Suis Malade" is the greatest cut from the greatest album. Also, her song "I Will Love Again" really jump-started her worldwide success. Most of the time, you will hear it as an uptempo version. Listen to it and then, on CZcams, type "Lara Fabian I will love again ballad blue 007". You will see/hear a slow piano version which accompanies two beautiful dancers. It is simply stunning.

There is no weakness in acknowledging one's emotions; only it having them overwhelm oneself when one must be in control. Not the case here; you are free to feel all the feels and cry your eyes out, no one is going to blame you. (Just don't listen to it when driving, or doing something else that requires your full attention.)

Context of the song creation, then french lyrics and english translation.
“Je t’aime” was written by Lara Fabian and Rick Allison, her music producer and composer. He also had been her boyfriend for a few years, at the start of her career. This song was written when their love evolved to a friendship and speaks about a couple splitting while still having a lot of sentiments one for the other.
