When this happened Lara was going through some traumatic things in her life and the fans changed the lyric I Love You to We Love You.

This song "Je T'aime" (I love you) is Lara’s original song, and probably is her most famous and well-known song around the world (along with “Adagio”). This video is from Lara’s concert “Nue” in Paris in 2002. It really shows how much Lara’s fans love and support her. Here is a short story behind that performance: Lara had some serious problems in her professional and personal life at that time (2000-2002); she even had suicidal thoughts. Her fans new about that and they wanted to express their love and support to Lara on her concert in Paris. A group of Lara’s fans approached her pianist and musical director Pierre Grimard before the concert and agreed that they will begin to sing that song "Je T'aime" before Lara. When they sang for her they changed the words «Je t'aime" (I love you) to “On t’aime” which means “We love you”. The entire audience (more than 6000 people!) sang for her. Can you imagine this? Lately Lara said that during this moment she realized the beauty of life, and that it’s really worth living it.

Life is funny sometimes, I'm a 73 year old who has two idols in life, 4th Impact and Lara Fabian. I discovered you when you reacted to Never Enough from 4th Impact and now with Lara Fabian. The two are very different, but the quality of their voices thrills me. Lara Fabian is one of the most beautiful voices in the world. Lara is one of the greatest singers of all time, and has been around for about 25 years, . She sings in many languages, but the majority are in French, English, Italian and Spanish. Every song from her From Lara With Love concerts is great, but especially Je Suis Malade (French - with subtitles), Adagio (English), Caruso (Italian), Perdere L’amore (Italian), You’re Not From Here and Broken Vow (both in English of course), Quedate (Spanish). For real golden oldies you can check out Lara taking on the vocal abilities of the likes of Whitney Houston with I will Always Love You, or Barbara Streisand with Extrait of Yentl (the movie), singing for 7 mis 47 secs both Papa Can You Hear Me immediately followed by A Piece of Sky.
One fan wrote about this concert in France where Lara sings Je T’aime (I love You) that Lara was coming out of a really rough time mentally because of difficult things going on in both her personal and professional life. She felt like giving up. Her pianist and a fan arranged this moment, and the entire audience sang for her, changing the words when they sang their part to “On t’aime” which means “we love you”. Lara said during this moment, she realized the beauty of life, and that it’s really worth living it.

she's one of the best live performers in the world and easily fits in the whitney, mariah, celine list. But as she came up around the same time as Celine Dion and she sings similar songs they thought one of the two was plenty. And so she never really got a chance in the US. The live version of Je Suis Malade is widely considered as being one of the best live emotional performances of all time and I highly suggest you watch it.

You'll absolutely fall in love with her work. She is a top tier vocalist and a top tier emotive live performer. She composes and writes most of her work (in French, English, Italian and Spanish). She's absolutely amazing. I'm a late in life stan for the first time ever because of discovering her.
The best intro to her is her live From Lata With Live concert with a mix of her original songs and covers she tweaks to truly make her own.
Je Suis Malade (with subtitles a must imo to understand the choices she makes on stage) was the jaw-dropping gayeway drug for me.

Just before the Pandemic she was celebrating her 50th birthday with a tour. The last concert before things started to really lock down was in Brussels (where she was born and where her father still lives). Her dad was there and she "made" him stand up to honour him and all he (and her mom) had done to help her develop her gift and make her dream come true. He stood there with Lara's daughter holding his hand while an audience of *9000* clapped for him.
Her tour was interrupted but she'll be headed back to Europe to finish the tour this summer (2022). Each concert is already sold out and each one is in venues that hold thousands (if I'm not mistaken). Her fans LOVE her and she's taken such good care of her instrument that at 52 she's still able to sing the songs she sang 20 years ago. That's impressive for any artist.
Probably not the first one to comment this but when you do react to more lara fabian. Try as much as possible to use live performances... she really takes those studio recordings up a notch on stage!

Lara performs best in front of a crowd, always choose live performances. Any one are awesome, but there's a legendary concert she did in montreal, 'from Lara with love' (it was filmed by public TV so not many copyright issues to reactors). There's a few masterpieces in that concert alone. "Je suis malade" is the best one, in my opinion, there's an english sub version too. Have fun!
" I am going to introduce you to someone whos gonna blow your mind. Her voice will,.......I can only describe as heavenly. When she burst on the scene, we couldn't believe what we are hearing. It was a voice from like another planet or something. She made her mark here (In the United States), and then she conquered Europe where she has lived most of her life. I am so fortunate to have live in a world of great voices but believe me this voice is at the top of the HEAP (with emphasis) of great voices. (Part of the Introductory speech by David Foster on Lara Fabian who made a guest appearance /performance in his concert in Las Vegas in 2010).
Her performance ended with the usual standing ovation from the crowd. Even though she was already 8 years removed from her vocal prime., she was still able to move the audience.

The crowd is singing O t'aime (We love you)...this is not an example of Lara's singing, but an example of the love her fans have for her...she was going through some rough times and the crowd decided to serenade her...The really hear her skills you need to react to Je suis Malade, or Adagio.

sorry to say this... I've seen many live concert.. but when the crowd try to sing mostly the SINGER over power em crowd/fan... but here LARA try to melt with the crow/fan not to over power them in vocal note or key range.. synchronized and beautiful

Just a hiccup : I didn't add subtitles, and she sings in several languages, including English, French, Italian and Spanish. The French one called "Je suis malade" is renowned to be one of her most amazing performances, and would probably benefit a lot from some subtitles to get a better understanding of the inherent pain conveyed by the song. Very emotional performance, but not her best in terms of showing her technique/singing skills. Just that you know, this women is in the same category as Mariah, Céline, Whitney, Barabara etc. Not joking. I am not a fan boy but I can appreciate her great vocal skills. You must see her other live performances. At best the versions with subtitles on when shs is not singing in english.
