Based, I completely agree with you. I wish Harold met Maria in Amsterdam in a post-credits scene, so this movie could be the only Harold And Kumar movie. That would make the movie even more special than it already is, in my eyes.

The christmas special is pretty damn funny at times, too, but not quite on the level of the first two.
It was crazy to think that Neil Patrick Harris' career completely changed because of this movie. Yes, he had success before Harold and Kumar, but this role opened up entirely different movies and shows for him.

Living in NJ, I know White Castle well. Generally after midnight. My dad from Midwest knew them when it was around a dime each, and “buy them by the sackful” was the motto.
I’ve never actually ate White Castle.
There was one here when I was a kid but most of them closed down all over the country. I've seen that there is one in New Jersey, like an hour and a half from here.
When I lived in Chicago, White Castle was a staple food for drunk and stoned party-goers on the Weekends!
There was a White Castle only 15 minutes from where I lived, and then there was another one in Bolingbrook, IL, that was right off the Highway I had to travel for work later on when we moved to the suburbs.
They are most famous for serving "Sliders", or "mini-burgers"...
I won't get into it too much, but just know that White Castle is a REAL PLACE, is wildly popular, and there are more White Castles being built every day!
No fast food joint is as popular as In & Out Burger. It’s the most overrated place ever

If you like this you'll love number 2. I'm sure number 3 gets some mixed reviews being that it's so much different than the first two, but I honestly love all three. But will admit the first two are definitely the best. hard to say which is better they both have their qualities that make them amazing movies.

The most painful part of this movie is when they ordered a mountain of burgers and the total was only $46.75...nowadays that'll get you about 4 burgers with fries and a drink.
This movie is funny but accurate. After a late night rendezvous white castle just hits different. You gotta order everything if you go.

Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle is unironically one of my most favourite movies of all time. It's comfy as fuck. Also, I've been told I look a little bit like Kumar. Anyway, the sequels are good too but the original movie will always be the best movie and the original movie works perfectly well as a standalone movie. Also, NPH fucking STOLE the movie, I love that guy. lol

Well, immediately after his cameo in this massive "Stoner Movie" smash hit, God took NPH to:
1) The Tonys Host (several times)
2) CBS to be in another MASSIVE HIT... "How I met Your Mother", where he would play "Barney", a guy that is basically an extension of his character in Harold and Kumar!... (which was an hyper-exaggerated version of HIMSELF!!!)
3) To the height of stardom.
Honestly, Neil Patrick Harris has completes one of the biggest Comebacks in all of Hollywood History!
There isn't a person alive right now who doesn't love NPH!!

I live only about 15 miles from where Harold and Kumar live, and I can tell you for a fact that it is nowhere near that difficult to find a White Castle in New Jersey. I live 3 blocks from one, and there are probably half a dozen total White Castles within a 10-mile radius. But yeah, if they found a White Castle so easily, the movie would be over really quick. 😜

A few years back, a friend and I had a moment like this from this movie. When we were in North Carolina, we stopped in a Bojangles. While in line, there was an employee who yelled, “I’MMA BURN THIS BITCH DOWN!” I looked at me friend and said,”Finish your biscuit because we’re getting the fuck out of here!” On our way back to South Carolina, we drove by to see if it was still there. The best part is I told story on Twitter and somebody responded by talking about how they pass that Bojangles when they drive through Shelby, which is the town where it still is apparent.

for reference... White Castle burgers are tiny so you can eat a lot of them. They taste really good, but you eat them knowing that your stomach is probably going to pay for it, lol. Going into White Castle around 3 or 4am Sat/Sun morning used to be funny because of all of the drunk, high, partied out people stopping in on their way home.
Also, as a NJ resident it's funny how they get from Newark to Princeton like they're right next to each other 😂

The dude who plays Kumar (Kal Penn) got his huge breakthrough in his role of Taj on the Van Wilder movies. His character was so popular that they made a sequel with Taj as the lead (the third movie was a prequel without Taj). The original Van Wilder film was where I first saw him and he was so damn funny (his interview scene was absolutely hysterical), I followed just about everything he has done since. These Harold & Kumar films are pretty good, but nothing can touch the Taj character.

You have to watch Harold and Kumar escape Guantanamo Bay. The Christmas one however? Ehh it’s a take it or leave it movie for me at least
Deep cut trivia: the elevator kiss scene at the end is underscored by "I Wanna Get Next to You" by Rose Royce, which first appeared at the climax of another "wild day" comedy, CAR WASH from 1976, in a similar context of a character finally kissing the girl he's been pining for. I like to think the filmmakers were paying direct homage to it.
I strongly suggest CAR WASH as a future watch-along, as it features many comic actors in their prime - Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Garrett Morris - and a surprising number of actors who also directed their own movies - Bill Duke, Melanie Mayron, and Ivan Dixon.

Funniest "Stoner " comedy since Dave Chappelle's "Half-Baked"...Kal Penn's s great actor--even in 2004's "Superman Returns" He plays one of Lex Luthor's thugs, doesn't say a word the whole movie and he's still funny. But I've also seen him play a white house chief of staff in a political drama and he's just as good in that genre. And yep, the sequel to this film is LOL, too.
Also, if you are very hungry, you can order the same amount they got. Of course, if you are high or want to consume 30 sliders, 5 fries, and 4 large cherry cokes, it is harder than it looks.

I kind of miss the days where you had to go looking for weed. If your dealer was out of town, you had to go on a journey just to find some. You had to go into some smelly hippy's house and choke on his incense while he weighs out an 1/2 oz.
