- Have we found the Best USB Mic under $100? That's what we are discussing today with the Fifine K678, a new cardioid condenser microphone that's taking aim at the Blue Yeti. At the time of this video, getting your hands on a good USB microphone for streaming, voiceover, or podcasting work is difficult as supply chains are strained and there is limited stock everywhere. The Blue Yeti is by far the most popular choice for USB condenser mics, so we are conducting a side-by-side comparison with the new Fifine K678. For good measure, we also compare these mics to some popular dynamic xlr microphones, the Rode PodMic and the Electro Voice RE320.

What was your favorite microphone?
I've been using an Audio Technica AT2020USB+ for a couple years and it's been great. www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/5879a6ca22e5aa7e/index.html
@@SeanFedorko Also a solid choice!
Sean Fedorko did u buy mixer with it?
@@smiley4641 nope

I before watching this review , I already bought k678 , but now become I have more info about this the mic . Great review🙏
Glad to hear that!
Really great review video on the K678. Love the mic comparison. It helps people to choose the mic according to their needs. Thank you so much for your sharing Nick!👍👍
Thanks Elaine, it was great to put this microphone to the test!
You got a new subscriber just from the methodology of your testing. 👍
...and I was also considering the Fifine K678. Win win.
Awesome, thank you!
From where I am from, the blue yeti is selling for 200 USD, however the Fifine is only around 60 USD. The difference in quality is extremely hard to distinguish. Both offers different sound signature but both are good!
Great video.. will get the Fifine
wow! clearer and crisper highs on the k678
Awesome review!
Nice video. Well done!
Great work on this comparo. Very helpful. Thank you
Wow!! Amazing review and I bought the fifine k678 for voice over job few days ago. ❤️
Thank you! Glad to to hear it worked for you!
Bro fifine k687 can we connect with laptop 💻
You're so right, sir. Me too
- 1.) EV RE320
-2.) FIFINE K678
Thanks for a excellent in depth review. Struck all the right notes - forgive the pun!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The most complete review I've seen so far. The fifine is definitely as good as the others in my opinion
Thanks for watching!
great review, thanks
Thanks for watching!
After watching different reviews, ordered Fifine K678 and will get it tomorrow. Yeah!!!
Hi! Where did u buy it?
Amazon
Are you able to hear your PCs audio while using mic monitoring?
Very helpful, I'm broke so I'm going for the fifine.
I want to get Fifine
You asked us about which one is better for your voice and in general
in my opinion FIFINE is definitelymuch better
TQ for your review. Help my purchase decision. Can I know what headphone that you use in this video? Does it you use for audio monitoring?
I believe I was using Audio Technica M30x headphones. Great sounding affordable headphones!
Btw, what about AGK Lyra and Fifine k678 which one is better in your opinion
Can mic capture my keyboard sound when I typing ?
Just got the k678 for 40$ on Amazon. Of course there is a snowstorm now :(, so shipping will take a bit longer.
I'm just waiting for the fifine mic to go down in price to cope it , 60$ rn, it went down to like 46$ last month for a week.
just bought fifine k678 really good
Did u buy a stand with it?
If u did shag stand did u get with it?
It’s bad for me did you do anything to it because I bought one and it’s low quality
@@promonkeryt1028 it’s good just install voice meter and fix the stuff
@@smiley4641 I don’t know what a voice meter is
Question: your voice sounds richer and deeper than the USB mics. What mic did you use for the commentary of the video?
1:27
Will stick to my headphone mic for now lmao
see my concern is that the k678 would pick up keyboard keys while steaming/ creating context? anyone know if it will? thanks in advance
See my reply to Vivek. A boom arm would help, but the mic is very sensitive and will likely pick up some keyboard noise. Thanks for watching!
There are sellers in my country selling the fifine for less than 35usd
Which kind of camera or webcamera are you using in this video?
This was filmed with the Sony A7iii. Thanks for watching!
@@MenajErieStudio OK. Thanks for the info.
Please suggest me mic
For making tutorial videos for my eLearning business
I need a kind of mic which pickup less background noise or do noise cancellation
Because my room is not sound treated or no any kind of sound treatment for wall to reduce echo
Hi Vivek, thanks for watching! I often recommend cardioid dynamic microphones for situations where you are trying to isolate your voice and reduce background noise. Something like the ATR2100x or the Samson Q2U would be great affordable choices. Also, if you can afford it, I also highly recommend getting a boom arm for your mic to reduce keyboard/desk noise. Hope that helps!
@@MenajErieStudio please suggest name of brand for boom arm
@@vivekkumarsrivastava5611 There's the Rode PSA1, or simlar by the comapny On-Stage that are well known. Otherwise you could probably find a cheaper alternative on Amazon from companies like Neewer.
Can I hear my pc's audio when using the mic monitoring?
Yes, if you choose the mic with the headphone jack to be your default output device.
im stuck with hyperx quadcast and this :( help
I haven’t tried the quadcast, but for the price I’d say the K678 is a better value dollar for dollar than most mics I have tried. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
1. Blue Yeti
2. K678
Buut, for the price, k678 is a better deal
Yep, that's our conclusion as well!
I'm contemplating on getting this but i want to know if it still sounds good with RTX voice?
I just ordered it from aliexpress and I have rtx voice. I will give you an update when it arrives.
SilkySwan any results
@@drxppycarloss The mic is still on the way..
SilkySwan i just got mine it works extremely well with rtx voice:)
SilkySwan did it come in?
Which one do you suggest, k678 or k670? For podcast and online course in my room. Thanks for helping me out
So if you had to pick between the two, I think the K678 is a more feature rich, better spec'd mic. But, if you are recording in an untreated or noisy room, you might be better off with a Dynamic Cardiod mic, like the Samson Q2u. It will do a better job of rejecting noise and room reverb.
@@MenajErieStudio I am an online trainer. And one of my biggest concerns has been the noisy room. Thank you for letting me know about Samson Q2U I'm gonna check that out.
I think K678 has a better sound for my ears
I’m getting the blue yeti. So far I think it’s gonna be worth the 130 dollars.
That's a solid mic!
What camera did you use to film this ?
We used the Sony A7iii for this video. Thanks for watching!
@@MenajErieStudio ok thanks, what lense do you use?
@@eeforest7122 We use the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 for most of these videos.
@@MenajErieStudio ok thanks, do you think you can do a video and show what your studio setup looks like? behind the scene , and how you do you lighting etc?
@@eeforest7122 That sounds like a great concept for a new video, stay tuned!
do you think it has better quality then a headset??
I would say yes, although it may pick up more room sound.
Yeti is better for you but a little bit robotic
And fifine is more natural but its only my opinion
The Fifine has a much clear sound, the Esser on the Yeti was anoying...
The Fifine sound way better for your voice, made blue yedi sound cheap.
What mic stand do I get with the fefine?
I got the Rode PSA1 but any third part one works.
Hi Smiley I, any standard arm stand will work just fine. You can go for the one with the highest rating or the most reviews on Amazon.
