It's sad to think of children growing up with this being the norm. Even worse is they are going to grow up into a world much much worse. Avoid the pain people and stop having children. They don't deserve it and you don't deserve to watch them suffer.
I made that decision years ago. I don’t want to bring a life into this world and have him/her suffer because this world is going to shit.

Yeah I'm in NY and it felt like a horror movie. While the view was astonishing, shocking, terrifying, and maybe a bit amazing, it's smelled like burnt wood so much. I couldn't breathe because it was either me opening my windows in welcoming that toxic air and gross stench, or dying suffocation of not having enough oxygen in one room. Surprisingly, I handled it well.

Justin read my tweet Verbatim during his press conference yesterday.. And, I got them to finally see my National Air Fleet proposal.. They're now looking at creating this new Fire Agency. And I Did that.. Can you believe that?! LOL.. Don't breathe that in.. Two days ago I was at the ER and three little boys were there too. 6, 3 and 1 yr olds. The 6 and 1 yr old were vomiting's in the ER so I'm not taking any chances and parents shouldn't either.

I feel bad for the people who are forced to go outside anyway. I assume a lot of workers like delivery people still have to go out. Also, when I first started seeing these headlines, I thought the city folk out east were just getting a taste of what we get in the West all the time. But this looks way worse than anything I've seen as far as air quality. The best example I could think of is what happened at Lake Tahoe a few years ago. Anyway, stay safe and indoors if possible. :(

I remember when there was forest fire in Indonesia , smog just came to the city across the sea from Indonesia you can't tell if its afternoon because it just blanket the sun like there's an eclipse or its twilight already. Face mask was not abundant around that time , school is suspended, most work are also suspended, the plant where my mother work has to provide an industrial face mask for her if she goes to work, that's including my father. ... it feels like Armageddon.
In this situation physically activities is prohibited

Did you even watch the video? Do you live in orange air? I mean, yeah, I live out West and we get wildfire smoke all the time. And it sucks. And it's always harmful. In fact, I smell smoke right now. But usually not to this extent. This looks similar to what was going on around Tahoe a few years back, but it looks like the air quality is even worse in NY.

If you smell burning on a regular I sympathize with you because smelling this every night, is not a good feeling... I went into Marshalls around 12:30pm Wednesday it was clear, came out about 30 minutes later and it was yellow... I doesn't stay for 24 hours and I've only seen it twice

Good to hear the commentator rightly point out that his thoughts are with the people of Canada. It's their country on fire, their homes burning down, huge tracts of their country being destroyed, not to mention the millions (maybe billions) of animals that have perished. Terrible air quality is, indeed, awful but just think how bad things must be where this smoke is emanating from.
I'm in the northern mainland of Nova Scotia. No fire here. Last week it was sunny and dry, this week overcast and cool.
And damp. Its moist and the smoke has not blown down this way. It has in Halifax in the past. Stay safe people!

honestly- New york is known for poor air quality, I hope all people are following the CDC and Doctors Guidelines and stay out of the haze. That stuff is very toxic and dangerous to the health. But many folks like during the pandemic dont listen. I hope the firefighters can get it under control with the additional help. Prayer is not going to help, however The hardworking firefighters that are risking their lives to control the flames will.
