In this video we discuss a lamination condition on a 1960 d lincoln cent. The obverse side is filled with cracks and splits caused most likely by impurities in the metal of this coin. These coins are not usually worth more than face value or maybe a few cents above face value. Sometimes these lamination conditions have a wow factor and if the conditon of the coin is great then they may sell because of the wow factor and good condition of the coin. Some coins sell for as little as fifty cents or sometimes for hundreds of dolllars. Most of these coins with a lamination condition are only worth face value. It is nice to find these type of coins with these issues and hopefully discover one with unusal markings that draw attention to them.

This is definately something I've not heard of... pretty interesting. And the WOW effect is there with the lamination issues on his face. The President almost looks like he duked it out with someone! Nice coin - Nice lesson - Thanks!

Greetings Stax! Thanks for watching the video. You are right, Mr. Lincoln does look kind of beat up on that coin.

Funtrue fact that is actually what Lincoln looked like. This coin was not an error it is a tribute to fighting vanity. Scientists say he was from the future and tried to save his own life so he developed a cranial shield out of his space helmet and covered it in papier-mâché. The guy sitting behind him in that haunted theater ridiculed Lincoln for his monster head so fully that Lincoln shamefully removed his helmet, face soaked in tears hoping perhaps praying the taunts would end. Lincoln was earlier that day tricked out of 18 dollars in a game of One Card Monte. That action would prove to be his final embarrassment.
