You should try this with actual hookah tobacco the smoke is really vapor coming from the bowl contents so its understandable why the cotton would be wet, especially if its been filled with vapor all day.
im a hooka expert and you did a lot of things wrong. Frist the water needs to be above the holes, 2 you did not use real tabaco. but you right with the toxic and that it is dangerous.
As a regular hookah smoker let me address some mistakes. First of all the “head” where you put the tabocco in is a cheap one you get with the cheap hookah you got. Secondly this isn’t shisha Tobacco, shisha tobacco is either red or yellow is and is wet not jelly. Thirdly I smoke it weekly 3/4 times and my water in a month doesn’t get close to the dark orange color your shisha got. You should’ve gotten real shisha tobacco not this artificial jelly
Valid, but honestly promoting the tobacco industry as a whole is against the interest of public health. No quantity is healthy, just like alcohol. The difference is the addictiveness between the two substances and the fact that heating and/or burning substances (not just tobacco, just in general, with extreme variation) releases carcinogens.

Good video. I’d like to see you do it again with tobacco. Or shisha, that’s the most common thing to smoke in hookah. Those gel crystals look like an alternative for it
* Constructive Criticism * Hello! I immediately recognized the thumbnail image / title from your previous experiments, and was excited to watch this one. I am a former cigarette smoker. Who has owned/smoked a hookah in the past (both shisha and Cannabis). I am also an addict in recovery, so I have smoked/vaporized a number of substances. Due to this, I have a few suggestions to improve on this experiment, because as you said, your lack of experience with hookah use has caused you to make some small errors, which has caused some issues with the overall results. I am really hoping that you read this comment, and are willing to redo the experiment, as I believe it would portray real world hookah use more accurately. The difference in results would also be very interesting to see how much or an impact my observations would actually have on overall results. Anyway, thanks for making these videos in the first place. [For the sake of simplicity, I will use smoke/smoking to refer to vape/ vaporizing as well. Device will refer to the hookah or any other pipe/waterpipe/ bong/ vaporizer. Substance will refer to shisha in this example, as well as any other substance, possibly psychoactive, that is heated to be inhaled.] Let's get to it: 1. Cutting the hose. One of the designs of smoking devices is using designs elements to reduce the harshness/temperature of the smoke. One way this is done, is to increase the time and or distance from the ignition of the substance to the mouthpiece of the device where it is inhaled into the mouth -> lungs. By cutting the hose, you are shortening the time/ distance that the smoke travels. This makes it hotter when it enters the "mouth/ lungs" of the pipe. It also gives it less hose length/surface area for the smoke to stick to, preventing some of that resin build up to not reach the cotton balls, and not be as hot when it does. 2/3. Water: There are 2 issues with the water in your video. The first is the lack of changing the water. In the real world, after each smoking session, or during if it is particularly long, as in this case, the water would be frequently changed. Everytime you replace the coals or the smoking substance, you should have changed the water. The taste is effected as well as the ability for it to filter/ cool the smoke. The second thing which does effect the smoke as well, is the water level. I am not sure how you decided on the level in the video, but (correct me if I'm wrong hookah smokers, because this is more from my cannabis knowledge) you would want to have the water level as high as possible to have the most distance through water as you can, without having the water bubble high enough to get sucked up downspout. Since I haven't tried that hookah setup in the video, I am not sure if the water level is correct or not, but this is something to consider. 4. Substance: I was introduced to smoking hookah from someone I met in Toronto in about 2008. He grew up smoking it with his family for cultural purposes. The substance that he used, and only kind have ever seen, look very different to whatever that blue gel stuff you have (it may be due to your location/laws, and I may be wrong, but that stuff doesn't appear similar to the "normal shisha that I have encountered. If you search online for Muʽassel (sometimes spelled maassel, meaning "honeyed"), you will see what I was introduced as Shisha. It is a syrupy tobacco mix containing molasses, vegetable glycerol and various flavourings. This substance will probably differ quite a bit in the results. 5. Scraping The Coals I am not sure what you did with the coals throughout the experiment, but the normal procedure is to use something (Normally the coal tongs have a straight metal rod with a hoop on the end that is attached with a metal ring. As the coal burns and turns to ash, the metal rod is gently scraped along the top and sides of the coal, brushing the layer of ash off of the foil covered "bowl" and onto the ring of metal below (which is its purpose, catching the ashes so they don't go on the table. So in conclusion, I really enjoy your experiments and appreciate the time/effort put into them. As someone who conducts experiments, I know that you aim to replicate the real world situation as closely as possible (within budget/ other parameters), and I am really hoping that you read this comment and are inspired to redo the experiment to see how it differs. As previously mentioned, I have experience with other substances, and if you are interested, let me know and I can assist you with doing another experiment like this, but maybe with comparing various methods of THC inhalation (joint, bong, vaporizing, etc) [obviously depending on your local laws, as cannabis is legal in my country]. Have a great day!
Just casually using some Jelly Substance in a hookah like it's no big whoop. I know I'm outta the loop on some things...but WHEN did Jelly Hookah become a thing?
You actually didn't use any tobacco flavour in your hookah. I think the researches were made using tobacco filling. Which makes sense sich there is a lot more smoke passing into to your lungs and the filling shown in the video probably only made vapour which left the cotton so damp.
Your test is invalid for the most part. What you did is the opposite of hookah smoking. When you smoke hookah, you're suppose to NOT let the tobacco or any other thing to BURN. That is why you take a puff, then let the hookah to sit for 30 seconds or a few minutes. Then pass on to others and that let's the tobacco to cool down somewhat, and makes it so that the fluids inside the tobacco get vaporized without burning the tobacco. If you regulate the heat from the coals correctly, one hookah session can take up to 1,5 hours. After that, the dried tobacco get's burned anyway (too much heat for too long time), and then you have to stop. Not just because the flavor goes away, but when it's burned, you'll smoke SMOKE, instead of VAPOR. Very big deferrence. (Also, that is why you had moisture in your "lung", but that was obviously not correct since no-one smokes hookah like that, that is why the test is invalid). What you did here is purposefully burned the gel thing (I don't even know what the hell that is) to oblivion which obviously is not the purpose of hookah. Don't get me wrong, I know it's not healthy at all, but it's way more pleasant than smoking stinky cigarettes. I've been smoking shisha for years now.
In my country we make ur own flavors is safe this in the video are toxic this is why in traditional hookas you are safe and that liquid is the vaporizer water most of the time love your videos ❤️

7) You didn't put enough water in so the smoke went straight to the hose which is wrong, water filters it a bit.
