    Hi I need help with my passat 2008 2.0tdi manual transmissions. Reverse light is not working at all. I've checked all the visible fuses, changed the reverse light switch on the gear box, change the bulb, checked the holder for the bulb as well and the trunk wiring loom as well but can't find the problem. Could you please advise me what else do I need to check or if there is any exact fuse location you could tell me to check plus somebody told me to check where the gear shifter is may be some wiring problem there... please come back to me on this. Thanks in advance :)

    Thank you for your video - it made it really easy for me to find it - some idiot had left it unplugged after they've done some work on my passat gearbox - at least it didnt need replacing and at least the bulb I bought was just cheap.

    So the correct way of topping up the gear box oil is by taking out this sensor?

    I broke it off putting it back. Watch out, not to tighten too hard.

    OMW ... really? I wanted to stop you at the 6 minutes mark and tell you, just get a vice grip. Ideally a short handle spanner would have worked best, but if you adjust a vice not too tight, it should work too. Also, use a socket for the battery tray. Pliers should really only be used if you are stuck next to the road OR to make bolts round :-)

      surely you're right, but you do with what I have on hand

    • @MrKingtony2008
      @MrKingtony2008 Před 7 lety +2

      Accepted. I just thought I would advise people. Because making bolts and nuts round just makes it difficult in future.

    quite painful to watch. Though I understand must be difficult using only one hand. The right size tools will help. Still, at least now I know where it is 👍
