    Thanks for watching! Have you noticed a difference in the amount of dusting you need to do after a duct cleaning?

    For the folks saying that duct cleaning is a scam, think twice. Imagine a previous home owner, never changing their filter for the HVAC system and not keeping up with vacuuming and cleaning their home on a weekly basis. All that caked up dust being trapped in the filter, return vents and system will build up over time. You're breathing in the air throughout your home and having a peace of mind knowing that your ducts are clean, and air is flowing properly with your 'home-smell'. Call a few HVAC companies, get some quotes and find out the type of work they are doing first. You don't want someone coming in with the $40 groupon special cleaning your ducts.

      People go with the prices that’s to good to be true, $49.99 whole house special, then they get taken for a ride and say air duct cleaning is a scam. They get angry at the industry because they fell victim to the bait and switch routine and blame the whole industry and call it a scam. There’s companies that take pride in what they do to give customer satisfaction. Air duct cleaning at minimum takes 3hrs for an average size home, if a company is in and out in an hour, you might want to check behind them.imagine buying a new car and they tell you it’s $49.99 fully equipped.🤣

    Is there a portable device like this (that homeowners can use on their own for their own ductwork or just cleaning up dust (aside from household vacuums, wiping and mopping floors, baseboards and or furniture, etc with so much effort and time to clear off dust off things in a house))?

  • @12HpyPaws
    @12HpyPaws Před 2 lety +2

    What about smoke and nicotine residue? If it has to be scrubbed off walls to get rid of it, how is it cleaned from ducts? The filter gets alot of it, but there is still residue.

    Ducted systems are usually only dusty when they're badly designed. it's easier to have good filters and change them often than to have 3 or 4 dudes turn up with a truck to clean ur whole duct run with the crazy snake air hose doodad. Loved their professionalism though, there are cowboys in HVAC but at least these dudes take their job seriously.

      @@EP1CNELSON I sprayed a smoke eater in the intake while the fan was running. Did this a few times also shut fan off right away a few times so it would sit in the ducts.. been a few weeks no smell. Had the air on nothing. Heat seems good to. Tearing out the rug ,painting and replacing all doors outlets. Even some lights seem to have done the trick. If it comes back I will have to heavy duty seal primer and repaint. The painter said the walls were not that bad. But I really should of insisted. Even painted the window frames . We knew we wanted to revenate everything anyway. So we were gonna spend the money anyway.. just hope not using a oder sealing primer does not come back to Haunt me.

      You should try to ask for a company that uses rotatory equipment and vacuum. Some companies spray some liquid to disinfect your ducts.

      @@WindWipper I live in Virginia and some HVAC contractors use a rotatory brush to take all the sticky dirt from the inside of each duct. They start cleaning the top level of your house because they say that it is impossible for the vacuum to suck the dirt, no matter how powerful it is. They said that the ducts are connected and the only way that you could possibly get most of the dirt is starting by the top. That way the rotatory brush will push some dirt and will go to the box that is connected to the unit.
      After cleaning all the tops levels they cleaned the boxes. I was very satisfied with that.
      They took about 4 hours cleaning the ducts.
      The contractor said that most companies use big vacuums making
      People think that it will suck everything, but they don’t use any brushes. There are companies that will do a job that might satisfy you, but you should ask the people that do that job how they clean the ducts before you pay them to do it.
