So an actress with a well known anxiety problem is on the show, she botches her little joke about new/old hair, embarrassing herself, which makes her anxiety even worse, so Colbert brings up her past cheating scandal AND touches her without asking? Total douche move.
I mean, pretty much everyone knows Kristen has severe anxiety, and even if you don't know, you should be able to tell because she's so nervous the air around her is vibrating. The restless bouncing of her legs, absentmindedly scratching her neck or arms while talking, looking down a lot while talking instead of maintaining eye contact... very classic, easily recognized signs of anxiety. To deliberately put her on the spot and make her uncomfortable is incredibly rude.

Second, my own anxiety is SO bad that I'm borderline agoraphobic and find it incredibly difficult to leave my house most of the time, and I feel uncomfortable until I get back home, so yeah, I know all about social anxiety disorder, and I totally "fucking understand her," which is WHY I said he was a douche for making her even more uncomfortable.

tonym50195 Oftentimes one with anxiety will swear & try to act out as what is usually perceived as normal. It's a way to try to appear "normal" & not vulnerable. I just speak from experience & being highly observant. It's very easy to admit certain things when you are speaking anonymously on the internet btw.

Her body language makes her seem closed off, crossing her legs and tucking her hands between them is something I always do. I don't see any reason why these interviews should just be fluff. IMO Colbert handled it fairly, he didn't push it that hard when it was clear she didn't want to really talk about it. And her reaction speak volumes, it's clearly a part of her life she's embarrassed about and would rather not revisit.
By comparison Trump who was the one making a big deal of it back then seems unashamed of the fact he cheated on two (probably all three) of his wives instead boasting about it in certain contexts. He seems barely ashamed of bragging about sexual assault. Yet somehow I'm sure many look far more poorly on her due to that part of her life than they do on Trump.
What was she thinking? Did she really think bringing this issue up again was a good idea? Just because you say "uhm diversity and stuff" doesn't make you being a cheating bitch ok...
