people think she acted bad in twilight, but true fans know that bella was already an odd character to begin with. she didn't fit in, she was weird and i think kristen slayed that role.

I think those who read the book would actually understand that Kristen did Bella perfectly.

Arya Stark well the character is meant to be pretty basic and easy for someone to project themselves on to, which is probably part of the reason the books became so popular, that type of character does appeal to people a lot in the terms of escapism
she did not deserve the hate for twilight and neither did any of the cast.
My hopes and dreams are dead ikr like she didn't decide whether her character had to be boring or plain. It's the director who directs the whole movie. Personally I think Twilights one of the best movies she's acted in.

I also think she nailed it. She brought a certain strength and toughness to Bella that is less apparent in the book, imo.
People are too comfortable criticizing her acting in those Twilight movies without actually reading the books.. A character which she played based upon someone who was shy, uncomfortable, awkward etc..

I guess Kristen was like that when the twilight movies came out but I don't see her like that anymore. Anyway, never hated her, but watching twilight is like Bella and Edward are constipated 100% of the time.

Exactly. In the book she was shy, awkward and clumsy. I think Stephanie Meyers wanted to portray a beautiful, perfect and well spoken vampire and how he could fall in love with such a quirky human.

Its completely unfair that they skipped over speak in this timeline. I feel like many of us fell in love with her because of Speak. She was so young yet managed to be SO PERFECT for that role. I read the book 4 times before the movie came out and Kristen actually portrayed Mel exactly how I pictured Mel to be. And then with twilight, Bellas character was awful and she portrayed it perfectly too, lol thats talent 👏
They did skip over a few, a couple of really good ones that come to mind Camp X-ray and The Yellow Hankerchief.
Speak was the one I fell in love with her. She's such an interesting way of acting/portraying that really gets me all the way in. Also loved her in Camp X-ray and Underwater just btw
In twilight I was "fine" with her. Dont see any reason for hate but its probably not her best role.

Valerie Vedette I feel like nowadays people are starting to acknowledge the fact that twilight was a staple of our childhood and the soundtrack is AMAZING. Yes there are some dumb parts but it’s honestly super funny and entertaining and if I have a daughter I’d watch it with her and reminisce 😊

I still haven't seen Spencer yet and I've been saying this for years. Of course you're going to give a weak performance when you're given a character that is as boring as a blank sheet of paper. And to her credit on those movies, nobody gave what we would call a "good performance". The material she and the rest of the cast was the problem. It always was.
Both Stewart and Pattinson are now brilliant Indie actors and it's so unfair that they still get sh*t on because of Twilight.

People always hate on Kristen, but I've always thought she was an amazing actress. She excelled in every role. She captured Bella so well that sometimes I'd forget that she *wasn't* Bella in real life LOL
Honestly the Twilight series is the only time I felt like Kristen wasn't trying. She's remarkable in basically every other movie she's done, including "Speak" which makes me mad they didn't ask her about it. It's clear in her performance alone that the Twilight project wasn't as important to her as other films. When she cares, her true acting prowess shows.
Even for a 12 year old Kristen Stewart, she was pretty good in Panic Room. Her performance kinda give me an anxiety, let alone adding Jodie Foster in the scene
@Serah Anil I did read the books back in 07/08 when I was 12/13. I bought breaking dawn the day it came out. I look back now with cringe and regret reading them entirely. There is so much better literature to read and emerse one's self in.

I am... I'm still a fan of Twilight and Kristen Stewart and I'm still collecting things about Twilight and Kristen.
I love how both Kristen and Robert seem like very deep thinkers and still, after all these years after Twilight came out (even tho we all know they hated it ), they seem so respectful towards it and grateful like there are so many instances when the actors insult the movies that made them famous.

She’s by far one of the most misunderstood and underestimated actors in Hollywood. You can tell by the way she merely talks about each of her experiences how immersed she gets into each character, committing every bit of herself to the story.

I've always liked her. She learns accents, behaviors...she really studies her craft and truly immerses herself into the character. She's a real actor.

It might be just some people don't like the film. She is famous for the twilight series, but even all the great movie series, doesn't mean everybody like it. For example, I am not a big fan of twilight or the Harry Potter series, never managed to finish watching any of those films (except the last 2 Harry Potter film, I finish watching it once) I don't like James Bond series either (except the Pierce Brosan version) But I love the Star Wars series, I like the Lord of the Ring series in the beginning, but now getting sick of it. I do like the original Spidermen series, but also getting sick of it also. It is not that people don't like Kristen, just, you can't expect everybody to love the twilight series.

i was just about to say!
when i saw zathura after watching the twilight series. I immediately know that she is indeed a good actress, she showed a lot of emotions in the movie. but unfortunately, she made a poor decision of being well known in a movie as a character with dull and boring personality, aka bella swan. She and robert both are good actress & actor, eventually due to the twilight series, they were well known and hated at the same time, not because of their acting, but because of the series and the characters they played. This leads them to rockbottom and had to star in more indie films, which slowly is paying off for both as they get to play more hollywood films now, robert as the new batman, whilst kristen as the new charlie's angel. Patience finally paid of for both great acts.

Kristen's most iconic performance is the one in the Disney Channel series "The Thirteenth Year" where as an 8-year-old girl stood in line to tap water, it was her first ever movie and that's why it's so iconic
She’s definitely lucky she had a parent who was already in the industry. Working so young, it was definitely a gift to have a parent that was likely more involved and knowledgeable about the rooms she would be walking into.
She didn't deserve the hate she got. She literally portrayed Bella Swan to perfection, all of the cast did. She's already shown in other movies, that she is a talented actress. If you read the Twilight series, you'll understand how well they stuck to the script. Some could say, they played the parts TOO good.
A young girl who can portray that kind of seizure in Panic room to me is a great actress hands down, people just hate on her because she cheat! WTF ,99% of people hating her are cheaters, give Kirsten a break for crying out loud.

I've seen a lot of her interviews, and I really like this one, too. Dare I say it, it's the best one of her yet. She is so unencumbered, so balanced, focused, but still casual. You can see her excitement and seriousness and joy in talking about her passionate career, and that's really awesome.

She's maturing and getting more comfortable in her own skin. Much less of that awkwardness she showed in earlier interviews.
The way her passion for filming bleeds through and the knowledge she has of what happens on set and how it happens is electric to watch, I hope she takes the directors seat one day in her career, she clearly has a love for the background process
I've watched this so many times, and it never fails to put a smile on my face. I look up to and support someone who holds her passion so dearly to her heart -- just the way her eyes lit up the entire time talking about her filmography. I am so incredibly proud of what Kristen has achieved.

She played a plain, ordinary girl in Twilight. It wasn't acting. People who dislike her have many reasons, one of which is she has no range. She's a one-note actress who doesn't have the depth or skill to create believable characters. You don't want to see the same performance over and over.
She's also been incredibly messy in her personal life, which she lives out on the sidewalk in front of the paps. It's like she has them on speed dial now, so they can get new pics of all her new girlfriends. She knows how to keep her private life private, so we can only conclude that she wants the attention, which is not an attractive quality.

I see the boys hate it cuz it's cringy, to me as a girl maybe there's some of the scenes that cringy but not all. It's a good story, boys doesn't love romance movie and they turn it into a joke spread it everywhere. I'm rewatching the Twilight movies and honestly they're not THAT terrible. Cheesy, yes but not terrible. And nobody in that movie deserved ANY hate. I dream of having one more movie to tie everything together and bring it to an end but it probably will NEVER happen because of how the actors were treated.

This is the actual Kristen Stewart guys, not what you've been thinking of her as Bella. She's definitely gotten more comfortable recently as she's gotten more comfortable with herself and more true to herself. This interview shows how constrained an actor is when they are a part of a blockbuster studio movie series, especially when they are young. So many people judged her for being what was expected of her by the author, producer, and especially the fans of the books. Once she broke free of that, she was able to become her true self. Thus the reason for so many smaller films, which truly showcased her talent. Now she can dip her toe back into bigger films as her own person. Love her.
