When I go on holiday, I buy a few new swimming costumes/bikinis, a couple pairs of shorts and a few dresses, because it's not normally sunny enough for them in the UK, so I just don't have them. I could never justify buying an entirely new line of clothes for the whole holiday, but you do you, I guess. If you want to do that, it's fine. The signature fragrance thing... I don't think it's an age thing, because I'm 16 and I've had a signature fragrance ever since Next bought Bath and Body Works last year. It's the Warm Vanilla Sugar scent, because I had never tried Bath and Body Works before and that was one of the scents I'd always wanted, so when I got it, I was so excited. And I tried it, and I LOVED it! Been buying it and wearing it ever since! I know wearing Winter scents in the Spring/Summer is meant to be bad, but come on... who really cares? If you like the fragrance, you like the fragrance, and if you want to wear it, you can wear it.

I am a single mum on benefits due to ill health and in the same place you were a few years ago. Wondering if I can afford to feed my kids next week, pay the bills etc let alone dreaming of a holiday. Also beware of those Birkenstocks! I got some and wore them for half a day and my feet were covered in blisters!!! Luckily the shop let me return them after they saw the mess they had made! X
I think you have to gradually wear them in unfortunately and they fit around your feet. Definitely wouldn't recommend wearing them first time on day out on holiday!
