This lad reacts so naturally and spontaneously to his beautiful birthday present, with that big smile on his face, tingling with emotions when he sees the doggie, that it still gives me some hope in the youngsters of nowadays. Any other boy would be expecting a mobile phone, i-pad or whatever, and show a clear disappointment in their face the moment they saw the dog. But his delight is purely genuine, and the careful way in which he hugs the puppy, his happiness, and the excitement. He can't believe it. Pets are not fancy toys. They require a lot of love and attention. I am sure that Freddie got that in that nice house.

I remember when my Golden retriever girl joined our family, We were out just looking at getting a puppy and we got to this old lady and she only had two puppies left, the boy was all crazy running around and far to busy saying hello to me and my partner as we sat on the floor to greet the puppies, the little girl however came over and gave us a quick sniff, walked over and picked up her blanket and pulled it in between my partner and i and she snuggled down right between us.... we had no doubt! we didn't´t pick her, she picked us and she is the most gentle and wonderful girl we could ever imagine

My mate, who's considerably older than this young lad, just acquired a 10 week old Cocker Spaniel pup, a black one and just as cute as Freddy. My mate's named his pup Olly. I met Olly yesterday and my reaction was pretty much the same as Freddy's human,lol. I hope the lad and Freddy have forged a strong mutually rewarding relationship in the ensuing years.
