Someone in Tumblr said that if she does wear the ring, it will tell any person that she has money or she's rich. The same user also said that it's New York. Not many women wear their engagement rings in public. The ring she's wearing here is probably a costume piece or something you can buy at a department store. I think Castle knows this and I think it's okay for him that she's not wearing her ring, that it's on her necklace instead (assuming it is on her necklace). It's closer to her heart. unodynamico I'm pretty sure she'll wear a band when they get married. Look at Ryan. He's wearing one. :)

Alie Hunter well,we've seen it several times this season, but really how often do we see beckett not at work? if we saw them going on date nights all the time or something and she wasn't wearing it maybe it'd be weird, but i don't know, i'm content with it. as long as they both wear wedding bands when they get married.
Everyone has the right to express their opinion about her ring...I for one wish she would wear it at least out of the precinct. So for the people who don't think it's a big deal, stop bashing the people who want to see her wear it on her hand every now and then!
