Ten year olds are SO enthusiastic, aren't they? We have one who used to visit her grandparents farm a great deal more before Mom and Dad moved to Cape Town. But when she does visit she is SO full of enthusiasm! She is my friend's granddaughter

Blackie, I have THE BEST bread recipe in the whole world. It is a no-knead recipe which uses ONE QUARTER teaspoon of yeast. The water you add is HOT. If I adapt this recipe for a bushpot I'm going to half the flour and only use 1/8tsp yeast. EVERYBODY pesters me for my bread. I want to try it with some seeds in it.

If you go to the dollar store and buy a roll of parchment paper and line your pan the dough is going into your Stick issues goes away and out pops the bread. Now you do need to bring the paper up the sides of the bread pan also. Let the bread or bannock cool a little and then you can peel the parchment paper off the bread. It works for me and I do not put any oil between the paper and the dough nor the dough and the bread cooking pan! Give it a try and good luck!

So its more like a thick batter than a dough...?

All told a fine video. I enjoyed it. But you are using Bisquick which has baking powder that makes the dough rise.? Why add the yeast? I think you are adding a needless step and ingredient. Your time frame doesn't allow the yeast to do the job of causing the bread to rise. It is the baking powder doing the job. I will grant you that a few people seem to feel combining the two is O.K. is specific instances, but usually one uses one or the other. But maybe I'm missing something--wouldn't be the first time. lol

you are correct...i was rushed ..had i cut and let the bread rise it would have done the job..which was what i planned on doing...but life got in the way and my time was being cut short so i rushed it a bit..thanks for keeping me honest..lol safe journeys
