Definitely one of my favourites. When ever I am haveing a bad day at work I will sing this song in my head and it helps cheer me up and get through my work day.
I “borrowed” this song for years and years while teaching 6th graders. I’d play it while we had some quiet time and I remember hearing the humming and the words echoing throughout the room from the children. It always led to great discussions and writing! Thank you, sir.
I saw him open a concert for Gordon Lightfoot about 40 yrs ago and I added this experience to many others I have had where I enjoyed the opening act more than the headliner!
Everything Mac does is wonderful and here's a prime example. The guy truly has the heart he appears to have and none of the ego or arrogance (befitting many successful songwriters) you'd fear he'd have. He exudes human kindness, compassion and love - and THAT has been his job, and well done!
Mac McAnally not only obviously LOVES what he does, but he’s damn good at it too! He makes playing that guitar look effortless. I really hope to see him perform live someday.
I had the privilege of seeing Mac and Eric in Cleveland last month. they were both gracious enough to stay well after the show had ended to greet the audience members individually until everyone was gone.
Heard you sign this at University of North Alabama about 1976. I was very happy to see you years later in Manassas, Virginia with Jimmy Buffet. Mac you sing this one the best! Sorry Jimmy.

Glad I found you, lol, did a show with you at EXIT INN in 1985, you were headline, I open and Mike Cross open for me, love your songs, me I guess I write for myself cause I couldn't get any cuts, so I have promoted my own for forty years, know anyone who would cut them, can always use co-writer, here is 18 of my 100 soundcloud.com/tommy-norton-5/sets/tom-cat-country

I can't thank my favorite Lit teacher anymore, but I can tell you are one. Thank you.
A talented musician who respectfully never received the credit he rightfully deserves as songwriter, musician and overall nice man.
Agreed. I’ve loved Mac and his music for about 40 years now.
A genuinely nice guy. One of the few "celebrities" I have ever met.

I know that if I had the pleasure of performing next to Jimmy Buffett nightly I would let it all go to my head. He plays it off like it's nothing.
I have met Mac and shook his hand twice. He is a good man.

Let's put his music all on every social media...he deserves it

One cave at a time!
As JB liked to say, doing a job that sucks well is often a path to a job that sucks less.
There is no doubt when He steps to the mic, It's Mac McAnally!!
Love me some Mac! Great picker, awesome writer, love to hear him sing. Did I mention great picker?

This is the anthem for all. We sometimes forget that it takes all of us to make a world, maybe blue collar workers above all. Thank you, Mac.
