Hatton fought everyone, never ducked the next man in line. RESPECT!! from the Philippines
omg........you guys don't stop. Go sing a christmas carol
@@notlookinforahug Sanchez fought no one. No respect from Africa.
@@Alexandahls Who Hatton?
As a massive boxing fan from the north of England, where Ricky is from I would like to say thanks to you Jay, coming from the country of the great Manny Pacquiao it means a lot! Both of these great boxers came from the working classes and have never forgotten their roots! I love them both, Ricky being amongst the very best in his weight class although I have to say if forced too, that Manny had the edge. This is no insult to Ricky because Manny is one of the best pound for pound fighters of all time!
@Trash picking Pete A typical comment from a yank with a big head who, no doubt has never stepped into a ring in his life. So, Trash talking Pete, go fuck yourself. As for British boxers being losers you obviously have no knowledge of boxing history. ask that overrated clown Detony Wilder about losing! Tyson Fury showed him what boxing is about!
Dude was 45-3. Great really great career. Two losses came from Mayweather and Manny!! Nothing to be ashamed of ever !
Ref Joe Cortez did seem biased in that fight.
@@alrivers2297 he was bias that night never let Ricky once get in and fight his fight.. pulled them apart every time
He let floyd hold all night

dont be so hard on yourself ricky, u fought their primes. Even the young-ones still having hard time with them today..
Exactly. He said also that he was defeated by FMW and Manny pacquaio but he is proud of it.
Ricky is an absolute INSPIRATION he give it is all and made England around when nobody was did Go on RICKY ❤ MCR ❤
@@myheartwill2244 getting beaten by probably the greatest offensive and defensive welterweight boxers of all time is a feat on itself.
so true...
@aaron pryor call him a bum but I bet you would get ur ass ko'd by Mayweather and Pacquiao in the first 10 seconds
I hope hatton reads this.
You're a legend of your own. You fought them fairly. Believe in your own legacy! I salute you. Love from the Philippines to the Pride of British people.
@Bhenchord Singh okay Mr Singhsbury. Oh sorry, Morrisinghs. I’ll get it right one day…
Oh shut the hell up
Hatton talked so much sh and Floyd knocked his ass out good fight. For Floyd 😂
don't be a uncle tom pilipino
You only love him because Pacquiao beat him. No love for all the ones who beat Pacquiao specially Mayweather and Ugas. You guys hate them with passion.
He should be proud of himself, he fought two of the greatest boxer of our generation in their prime
@Roy Fokker idiot
Roy Fokker orange juice and holy water go a long way. Try it string bean
Roy Fokker make “since” bro!
Roy Fokker what about Floyd only fighting in Las Vegas so that he can get secret injections for his weak pillow hands?
Roy Fokker nigga asian don’t raisin. That’s why pacman is best. Floyd just likes fight people outside the ring more than in the ring. He caused his ex’s death cause he beat the shit outta her then got her addicted to pills. The fuck kinda person is that? Oh yeah a POS
He said even though he lost the fight - the comeback was his biggest accomplishment.
He fought back from depression and won.

Pacquiao Fight - 37:28
Thank you.

A true British Warrior.
Its good to see you smiling and joking around! We are proud of you Ricky.. from the Philippines.
Your achievements are only exceeded by your modesty and humility. You make me proud to be British.
LOL
Winning against your weakness was your best comeback! Congrats Ricky, a champion indeed... Much respect from the Philippine
Ricky was a boxer who was dedicated to the sport , even though he lost he will always be remembered as a legend.
Matbe in th uk but not in my part of the world
Not truly dedicated, his boozing getting fat when not fighting is a big difference between someone like him and Floyd.
🤔
he lost to 2 of the all time greats. :)
legend my ass
Ricky should never have left Billy Graham. Graham was loyal and always there for him!
billy trained him. in the right style that worked for Hatton, hes a gritty brawler type of fighter. Mayweather trained him to be pretty which just didn't work for him.
don rump it truly didn’t matter if he stayed with him or not, Mayweather was always on another level than all his opponents and truly is the history of his boxing because of his ring iq. He was an expert in and out of the ring and he knew exactly how to read an opponent on the fly and take away their strengths. He would have taken away Hatton’s strengths no matter what like he did with every other boxer in his career.
@@James_Edward59, Don Rump isn't talking about Mayweather Jr., he's talking about his Dad. There was a time when Hatton Hired Floyd's Dad to train him. Floyd Sr. trained Hatton for Malinaggi fight & the Pacquiao fight.
@@James_Edward59 i agree, Hatton couldnt beat Mayweather but may have a better career
No need to be depressed, Ricky, you fought a legend.
And you are a legend yourself Rick!
not every single man takes a loss the same way..it is on their genes but i hope he will be overcome and just be known as one of the english boxers heroes
he fought terribly and got destroyed
2 legends

my dad was actually friends with Ricky and has always said he was a nice guy and looking at his fights, I have to respect Hatton. was never scared to fight and gave it his best. RESPECT.
He lost to 2 of arguably the greatest of all time. Definitely no shame in that.

8th Division Class World Title that's impossible to beat, Pacman is the last of this generation. He's truly the people's Champion.
Gee, I enjoyed every minute of that. God bless you Ricky from Oz!
I'm happy seeing Hatton back on his feet again. Much respect from the Philippines
Ricky was an amazing boxer, he’ll definitely be remembered as that by the true boxing fans who don’t fall into media bullshit.
...amazing until he fought someone world class...!
Dean Tongue that takes nothing away from him, he fought two of the greatest boxers of all time and lost to them which isn’t surprising as im not saying he was one of the greatest of all time, he was an amazing boxer who was a genuine guy which is why people loved him.
Always gave us great fights. Man had a lot of heart and even as a Londoner we used to get HYPE for his fights. Yh legend m8 💪💪💪
The good thing is he always gave value for money
"No disgrace in losing to 2 all time greats." no, only the fact he shot his mouth off leading up the Pacquiao fight saying easy a win it would be. Then, two rounds later...
Love it when Ricky is commentating on fights or part of the sky team. Hes brilliant. Awesome fighter.
What a great bloke he is. A likable and true fighter of the sport. So much respect and love, from Germany.
What an honest, funny and genuinely enjoyable interview.

Yes some. But not us though eh.
Hatton never backed down from a toe to toe battle...but Manny and Floyd was on a different level...floyd was so talented he knew every shot he threw and what shot would be coming back..very smart fighter off all time
Great analysis. I said the same. Every punch Hatton threw, Floyd knew exactly how to counter it
And remember.. His hands was brittle by that point in his career, so he was more defensive n didn't look for knockouts
Hatton brought the best out of floyd... floyd was determined to hit him with that check left hook. He knew that was the answer to Hatton being so aggressive. He threw it all night until he landed it flush
@@christopherlee4181 Hatton was the type of fighter Floyd loves face. An aggressive almost brawling type style, with far slower hand speed, slower footwork and a head with little movement. Watch Floyd's fight with Balovdir. This was a practice run for Hatton. Although Hatton had more skill
@@D1Snr naw bro, Hatton and bald are different. Hatton had great foot speed always has.. he's just not as skilled. You can go back and watch the fight where Emanuel compliments his foot speed.
He was and still is, a great man. Thank you for the fights!
Warm regards and much respect from the Philippines
Love Ricky Hatton, such up front honesty to open up about his personal struggles and demons and what a fighter he was. Power to you Ricky.
as an Aussie I remember thinking that Kostya Tszyu should have retired before the Ricky fight and when I sat at the pub to watch the fight it was with a heavy heart, total respect for Ricky as a boxer and a person.
True but he was still on top of his game he wasn't past it. Kostaya didn't fight bad either but Ricky was incredible
"A world champion that was one of us" brought a tear to my eye :)
Hats off to this guy. Never backed down in a fight and kept coming forward. No shame in losing to number 1 and number 2 of your era
Well said mate
No shame to get knocked the fuck out
Malamute you’ve never had a fight in your life, yet you sit there and write pointless comments belittling a former world champion from the comfort of your mums basement 🤔😂😂😂
What a wonderfully honest, reflective interview. Hats off to Hatt on
Respect to this man.. I love the way he talk, shows humility. Accepts defeat and his shortcomings.
Sky should do more of these
Best Hatton interview out there this is 👏
Thanks sky, need more of the classic ringside episodes and boxing gold
What a bloke! Well and truly makes the bridge between the ordinary and the elite look so small. Down to earth, honest and decent guy. Would love to live through his fights again.
Thanks for the special memories Ricky 😊 getting up early hours in morning watching those American fights and ITV/Sky fights were some of my favourite memories 👍 That Left to the body to this day is one of the best punches in boxing 😂 he was throwing the same shot in the Amateurs at 10 😂

Full respect for Ricky I'm Filipino and yes I was praying for Ricky when Pacquiau fight I'm so glad he was okay and Ricky your still the champ bro high respect...
Floyd definitely took his soul on that fight and paquiao took his will. Hat off to him for challenging the best of the best.
I think he should have taken warm up fights after the Mayweather lose. If I remember correctly he fought them one after the other?
At the time he thought he was better than them guess he got a rude awakening
Brian Marson he did have couple wins after mayweather.m and hen he face paquiao.
@@brianmarson3427 he fought 2 strong opponents before facing Pacman at jr. Welterweight, lazcano and malignaggi.. he became IBO Jr. Welterweight champion after beating lazcano and ring magazine champion after defeating malignaggi..

I have fond memories of watching him box while i was growing up.
What an absolute Legend,Thanks for the memories Ricky.
That’s funny. I remember him as being a guy who talked mad shit and ended up getting knocked out in cartoon like fashion against Mayweather.
Check-a-Bitch Beats but Ricky is no longer depressed like you so maybe you could learn something from him 😉

Amazing interview, Ricky is a top man!
Raised in Manila, huge Pacquiao fan, but I've got so much love for Ricky. My second favorite manc next to Karl and my second favorite Ricky next to Gervais.

We love you here in the Philippines Ricky! You were a great fighter and one of my favorite fighters
Seeing how old Ricky looks now makes me feel old I was 20 years old watching him against mayweather
Really wish the best to Ricky...Not many people really give their all toward something, for fear of failure or being judged etc etc. This dude wasn't the most talented boxer, but he worked his heart out and achieved so much. I hope he can enjoy his life now. He has zero to be ashamed of. He should only be proud.
Respect to Hatton. A legend of his own. You have a great place in boxing history.
My father was watching Pacquiao-Hatton match as I sat right next to him when I was a kid. It was an amazing fight and the reason why I've became interested in boxing. Ricky didn't lose anything. He, still a living legend. Love from Philippines ❤

I'm American and LOVE all things Ricky Hatton. He was my guy back in the day.
I read somewhere the other day someone say, “don’t let what you’re good at define you. You got so much more to offer this world than just what you’re good at.” Very true cause it’s so easy to be gassed up by yourself and others because of what you’re good at and then when that fails the fall is hard.

Haroon Ahmed how did you know? Fighting expert...
@Paul Rogers i think witter cared for that fight more than anybody else. i mean it would've been a decent fight but it was clear witter wanted that big money fight.
Manny and Floyd are two legends. They’re in a class of their own. No one has even came close to their greatness in terms of the peak they reached during their primes and their longevity. No else has done what they did since they started dominating since the late 90s except maybe Canelo? Although I think Canelo is still a step below.
