How fast can a human being Run ? Research shows that human beings can run as fast as 40 mph but the sprint speed is approximately 13 mph.
However, 13mph sprint is not sufficient to win a race with some of the fastest animals in the world. In the wild, speed is essential for survival.
A predator must run faster than its prey or it dies of hunger and the prey must run faster than the predator or it becomes a meal.

Actually, the falcon didn't exactly decapitate the duck's head. If you watch it in slow motion, the falcon actually hits the duck's head, causing it to flip, most probably resulting in death.

In my opinion, this comparison is somehow not fair, like comparing apples with oranges. Animal speed should be compared in separate categories: on land, in air, in water, etc. It's like saying I'm faster than you because I jump from a plane at 100 mph and you are running down the street with 10 mph... Birds in dive have gravitational acceleration as an advantage, it is not a fair comparison.

Sad they're too inbred and weak when it comes to fending off cops coming for their catch. They aren't as strong as Jaguars and aren't even great climbers like leopards. With their weak ass screech they have for a roar, the only thing really going for them is the speed.

The way it runs is not unique tho. A couple animals have double suspension gallop.

Cheetah's use the same gate as a greyhound, however it's head doesn't stay level like a cheetah.
@@AmandaHugandKiss411 Actually, greyhound and cheetah both use a rotary gait (like a jet engine) not a transverse gait like a horse, which makes their gait more streamlined and less bouncy. But the greyhound just doesn't have the aerodynamics (the steady head and tail) which makes greyhounds a bit slower. Respect for all these animals.
@@ruthtalley242 I think that was what I was getting at. They share a very specific gait. I believe that I mentioned that a greyhound IS less aerodynamic than a cheetah with the length ratio of a greyhound from shoulders to hips being shorter than the ratio from shoulder to hip of that of a cheetah.

p.s not all horses use the same gait. There's the traditional gait which impacts how a horse's hooves make contact while walking, the change during trotting, galloping and running.
A "gaited" horse however uses a very different placement of the contact of their hooves with the ground during, walking, trotting, galloping and running.
Most gaited horses perform ambling gaits, which is when they move each foot individually in a specific manner. This creates a distinct gliding motion and causes the rider to sit still in the saddle. They have one hoof on the ground.
Gaited horses are less common then regular horses.
There are also pacers who also use a different gait as well. The exception to this rule is pace, a lateral two-beat gait where the horse simultaneously moves its legs on the same side. You will also notice that pacers sway their heads and necks side to side as they move their legs.
Camel's are naturally pacers as are bears and giraffes.

Out of all the speedsters that are lightning-fast in the Animal Kingdom, there are three that stand above the rest. On land, in the air, and in water.
The cheetah can run up to 75 mph, 110 fps.
The peregrine falcon can power-dive from 186 to 200 mph, 352 fps.
