- Today we are gonna show you how to install a turbo kit step by step. I tried to show you how quickly while also giving some important tips. Hopefully it worked out well. These instructions are pretty much the same on any D series or B series car. Civic, Del Sol, Integra, CRX, Wago. All pretty similar just with small differences. Check out the videos below for a closer look and links to each piece on eBay.

We just gonna Ignore that ahegao shirt? 🤣 a sub just for that
Was just going to say that 😂
Wow you made that look easy! Time for me to follow suit. :D
Utter man of class and culture just rocking an aheago shirt that’s BDE
Definitely helped to figure out how I should mount my intercooler thanks
The correct way is definitely to make a bracket, but the long bolts are cheap and easy.
Best video with turbo on youtube 👍
I really wanted to participate. X3 Honda lookin' gooooood!
Woohoo! Maybe I'll be able to get my running video done if FedEx ever brings the rest of my stuff 😂
Amazing build!!!
Fiiiiiirst oh snap! Hell yeah 🤘😎🤘 comment gang before the ads are finished! Yeah, I let em run for ya brotha 😂
Man I need mine running lol! Looking good dude
Very goid job congrads
Ebay spinny boiz
love your shirt
Ac delete? Ive been looking to purchase a delsol and it has a dseries swapped in it w turbo. I was wonder if a AC could still be installed in it? Sorry for the out of context question, just you seem to know what the heck youre doing and understand that not everyone is made of money. Haha. Thank you for your time.
Thanks
What chip did you install and what ECU are you using if you don't mind me asking
Would you install a turbo on my Honda Sol and how much will it cost
Hentai and car's dammm man you are a GOD ;))
Nice
How long were those bolts that you used to hang the intercooler? I'm guessing around 6 inches? I'm going to be picking some up today. Almost done with my B18c1 turbo build!
Something like that, I can't remember exactly but you could always get longer ones and then cut them down.

What is the instrumental in the background towards the end of the video?
Did you guys even prime the turbo?
I have a 93 del Sol going the same thing
You didnt do rods ? Am i right in saying to go above 190hp you need better rods ? I also read that some d16 engines have better lubrication allowing for high rpm
How do you know where the pieces go
Cost for all convert to turbo?
thanks for the great vid. question i plan to delete the A/C and Powersteering to install my turbo kit on my D16y7 engine would i need a different set of belts?
Yes
Don't know about this specific engine, But I have deleted ac and powersteering on my d16z6 del sol and I did not need any new belts since the ac and powersteering used their own belt and the alternator uses another belt.
How much for a del sol turbo build
My mand that's a bro charger man's* pro*
looking good! what chip/ecu are you using??
I doubt there's any room in the $500 budget for an ECU/Chip at this point. They're at like $350 used already
I take that back.......
@@muhv8603 Hahaha Honda life. You can chip the ECU for like $28 or something.
Got a 10 dollar chip kit off of ebay, chipped the ecu that was in there. Pretty sure it was a P05 or something similar. It doesn't really matter you can chip pretty much any obd1 honda ecu.
@@wideband good to know, I would love to see more about that! Like what software is used/ what chip/ pros and cons lol
Boost pipe?
Now did you guys run it un tuned? And are you also running some sort of boost controllers? In example EBC or MBC controller? Just curious
I would absolutely tune it and run a manual boost controller. This was for a fun little challenge and our budget was up so we were untuned and on wastegate and it sucked.
Nevermind we were tuned on crome gold I forgot we were 2 stepping in the results video.
Last boosted Honda I had was on a chipped ecu and tuned with crome gold.
WideBand dang bro, yeah I was planning on boosting my 4g64 but I figured it would cost more then it was worth, great build with that civic though that was pretty awesome what you guys did and with the budget you had, I guess Force induction has a lot more to it then just bolt on’s
@@dennisglodoski6365 Yeah bare minimum to do it right you definitely need bigger injectors and some way to tune. Personally a big fan of nitrous now cause it's easier even though it has it's risks.
What would happen if you ran it without a basemap?
It would lean out and blow the motor as soon as you hit boost.
@@wideband im building a turbo del sol too, but mine has a chipped ecu already from p28 to p30, its a b16a2.
Can i ran the turbo with that chip and drive it into my ecu tunner without hitting boost?
Take the Del Sol To HunterTuned!
This is a good idea ya know!
would this be the same for a automatic?
Yes but I would recommend swapping your car out with a manual transmission
@@citystarridin why ?
How much does build cost you?
$700 for car and $500 so far on turbo stuff. I got a video breaking down all the turbo stuff. We gotta spend more to get injectors, fuel pump, and a wideband 02 gauge so it will be safe ish.
@@wideband "safe-ish?"
It's still a lot of power on a completely stock motor, stock headstuds, high miles... Also used the cheapest parts possible, never gonna be reliable like that.
I want to keep ac.
Don't I have to get my car tuned 01 civic ex btw
Yes, this video was just the physical install. We did a chipped ecu.
Typical Honda guys, owns a lift but not an oil caddy
Yeah... you're right lol.
Deff not step by step video, I have a ton of questions still. WTF
We had turbo kit. We showed every step putting it on. What questions you have I can answer them.
@@wideband My first time ever considering installing a turbo, I have a 91 civic hatchback, don't know where to start, where does the other end of the line go from the oil pan u installed, and the other line from the pressure sensor above the oil filter? is this kit plug and play? did it come with a diagram? btw, thanks for the reply
@@michaelpassionsgarage356 both of those lines go to the center section of the turbo. Make sure you dont hook them up backwards. The bigger hole is the drain
Just coming back to this, kits like these is not what I would call plug and play, we fired it up on the lift, but you still need ecu/tune on your car to be safe. You might need more mods like bigger fuel injectors and a bigger pump, and also possibly a better clutch. I have done a few of these installs and I can say it isn't that difficult, but there are a lot of little things that need to be done. Also this was an extreme budget build for a challenge. I have a video of my civic on the channel that was comparably much better. That car had better clutch, injectors, fuel pump, ecu, and a set of gauges to monitor everything. Much more reliable setup.
Thanks
