I was facing 20 years for an armed robbery that happened 3 years ago. In the time that I was on bail I continued on my self development journey with things like my appearance, career, and relationships, and fitness. Every Single court date I made sure to dress my best while everyone else looked like trash. I even was better dressed than the attorneys. I was offered 5 years in state prison and my lawyer said we should turn it down and keep fighting which we did. Just last week I went back to court dressed dapper as usual. I was told that I all the charges were dropped except for one accessory after the fact which would still be a felony but I don’t have to do any prison time. The deal was 45 days in jail or monitor and 2 years probation…. If I would have went in there looking like I didn’t care about my future I would have had a different outcome. But my attitude, faith, and appearance showed that I a am a great guy that just made a mistake hanging around undesirable ppl. I always remember that now in my life wether I’m going to an interview, a court room, a date, a dance, or even if I’m just going out in public if I want the respect I have to be dressed correctly

You will often get jealous or unfriendly looks from other guys who are not dressed as well at bars, parties, or social events. This is especially true if their girlfriend keeps looking at you. I once had a guy whose girlfriend kept glancing at me actually come up to me and make a rude comment about how I was dressed. I was polite and responded in a friendly manner.

I'm still in the transitional phase. What I wear right now is super business casual and already I have a lot of my friends talking about it, both with positive and negative reviews. I still feel scared to put on a blazer and currently wear some nice black jeans. as i gain more confidence i'll move towards getting proper trousers, wearing ties and then basic suits. it's a big improvement from looking semi homeless to "swag" and now going into a more nicer and refined look. love the videos

I always knew that I wanted to dress to impress. The compliments were encouraging, motivating, and thoughtful. you are absolutely correct in your findings you tend to make an impression that will gain you prominence and predominately advancing your wealth, health and physical being. A neat tip for men wearing glasses:
Don't be limited with the selections of frames your optical store has. If you like a particular sunglass frame, you can have that turned into your everyday glasses by swapping out the lens.

When I first watched this video back then very little of this hit a chord for me as "dressing up" for me was wearing a polo shirt to go to work. Now even in 2020 with dressing to a higher standard I'd say at least 80% of the items of this list apply to me.

I work at a Wedding venue and there is usually about 1-2 men a wedding who are dressed especially nice, they have a nice fitting and material suit, a good tie and maybe a hat. They stand out and I remember them. If there are ten guys who look alike, the one dressed with something stylish, I can remember them, their drink preference and if they have any particular requests.
And if you are the groom, try to do something that does make you look better or different from everyone else. I often loose track of who the groom is because their don't look particularly special. Missed opportunity.

Braces were never to be seen anyway and you should be wearing a blazer which will always cover it. Shirts were seen as casual and never to be worn out without a blazer as it was considered undergarments since it used be long enough for you to use it as undergarments too while the time passed and men started to wear actual undergarments shirts were still long as they recognised when the shirt is quite long it’s harder for it to be untucked but the point is braces/suspenders weren’t intended for showing. And honestly you’re a man being 53 years old means you’re a man so why should you be frightened dressing like one?

I am not completely averse to dressing up, but up to recently I've only taken to it for big occasions.
I went to the funeral of a distant relative, so I dressed in the nicest clothes I had (which I'm sure would be laughed at, but I digress).
I was amazed at the compliments I got from people. Had to stop at my bank after the funeral, and got flirted with hardcore by the teller. That hasn't happened to me since high school.
I decided that I like looking nice, and have been taking steps to dress better in general. My kids and friends still think it's weird, but I'm okay with that. I absolutely feel better about myself when I take the time to look as good as possible.

It's a pitty, because the scenes are beautiful, Your smile is so satisfying to look at, but because You have such a gentle voice and way of talking I can imagine those scenes in my head while only reading! Great video, thank You for everything!

i started dressing more formally to work, not suits, but very well-fittiing dress shirts, nice leather belt, wool slacks, and quality new oxfords. many guys acted like i was wearing a tuxedo, because they were dressed so casually with most wearing t-shirt, jeans and athletic shoes in an office environment. women tend to like it, guys tend to feel some hostility because by upping your own style you're showcasing how sloppy they look by comparison.

Sir you are more than right, thank you so much to motive me to be as I was educated by my grandfather. I follow your suggestions since 3 month and i begin to find my style, it goes more in Italian direction. I put my old cloths in a big dustbin, 90% of them. I make a business plan, impossible to change a wardrobe in one shopping, the enemy was this impulsive materialistic emotion “I want this thing”. So I tried to be coerant, logic, analytic and stable with an precise objective in mind. I check the marked, make a list of “prèt à porter” and tailors compare prices and analyses investment possibilities “what is possible with the budget or not”. It is possible to have a wardrobe in 3 moth with an budget of 3000€, but you will put 500€ in a dustbin again. You will flip over if you see a beautiful textile, you want to have, you just put it in you business plan for the next month. To invest for a suit more than 2000€ will be accepeble because you have fond the tailor for you and you will look great. The consequence for your life have an impact for sure if you change your job at the same time or have new objectives, it will be great. Even at 50 years old your can look sexy again.
Ihre schönen Herrensoken in Ihrem Onlinegeschäfte stehen auf meiner Liste.

Dear Gentleman's Gazette, I would like to thank you for teaching me about style and ways to dress better, although I am still in school where we unfortunately have to where a uniform at the first chance that I get I will start dressing more formal for the most everyday things, however this may be difficult as I am in a small rural town with not much in it, never the less, I have felt inspired by your channel and bought my very first black suit yesterday, I have already gotten compliments on it but also the opposite, anyway such is life. Thank you GG.
I'd like to make a quick edit here, the suit I bought was from a thrift store for $30 it fit me perfectly, I have a mock interview coming up for school where we go to a business to practice our interview skill, you're videos have helped alot, hope I remember some of your points when the day comes. Thanks again GG!
