The honey touch is to replicate a French sauce called gastrique . It’s made of heating sugar and vinegar. I make a maple gastrique to top off deviled eggs. There is a fine dining restaurant in Colorado that serve deviled eggs like this and it is very delicious . Good work LCL😊

I tried this egg salad on gluten free toast - can I just say, this is so good! I will be making this a lot. I drizzled a little honey on a bite size just to try it - it’s actually tasty. Lol

To avoid the grey around the yolk after boiling the egg, put the boiled eggs in a bowl, cover them with ice cubes and leave it for a few minutes. You must do this immediately after boiling the eggs.
I just put the coldest water from the tap over it right way and peel them shortly after no problem 😊

Un-related question: do you have any suggestions for what to eat when you are dealing with a stomach virus? When my kids were little I used the BRAT acronym; bananas, rice, apple juice (or sauce) and toast. None of which are low carb friendly. I have broken the rules and have eaten a couple graham crackers, some apple juice, tea and bone broth, oh, and some soft scrambled eggs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The proper way to boil eggs is to place them in the pan, don't crowd them, cover with cold water, slowly bring to a boil, cover and remove from heat and let them steep for 10 minutes. Place them into ice water to shock the shells, easier to peel.

I wish I wasn’t allergic to eggs. I used to be able to have egg salad once in a while and deal with the stomach pain but since I got a gastric bypass it’s become worse so I don’t bother. This recipe makes me wanna try it.

I will recommend you something, if you like egg salad, I tried it and we did not believed, that something that simple can be soo goood - Egg butter: Just to soft boil 3 eggs (it´s important for yolks to stay creamy, with hard boiled eggs it´s not that good) - let them cool, peel, and whisk them up with 50grams of softened unsalted butter and add pinch of salt. Mix until creamy and enjoy! So simple, but soo delicious.
My grandmother taught me to add melted butter to egg salad 30 years ago -but hell no to any sweetness- also I do not get the title… 3 ingredients!?

What kind of gluten free bread do you use?
Do you want super creamy egg salad? 6 boiled eggs, about 1 cup mayo 1 block cream cheese, 4-6 cloves of garlic, salt and pepper to taste. I use a hand mixer and it makes it soo creamy. Just be careful the garlic is soo good in there but your husband/ bf may not want to kiss you. A lady from my church is Ukrainian and she introduced me to this egg salad and I like it better than I like regular egg salad.
