- 9-year-old Eliana Fierro said children were hiding behind a curtain when a man told them to come out, but the children knew it wasn't a police officer.
Let’s pause and digest the fact that this man had time to slowly walk through the auditorium. The fact that police officers stayed outside while CHILDREN were being brutalized is disgusting. At minimum these people need to resign.
Edit: We now know it wasn’t the auditorium. But to the people nitpicking which room the shooter was walking around a room in the point still stands that he had enough time to walk around a room in the school and shoot those kids while the police stood by.
Actually they can be charge with involuntary manslaughter if the DA press charges. But they won't cause they rather protect the cops than the kids.

The dad tells the whole story, and calls it a drill, the kid doesn't tell the story. And we know now that the cops damn sure didn't chase the kid. Look at the map of the school, no cafeteria/auditorium in sight. Shame on this dad for exploiting his kid and this tragedy

I think what bothers me the most is that those kids were probably wanting their moms and dads. As a parent, it would bother me more that my child wanted me to be there to save them and I couldn’t. Knowing that a child died alone and scared would be a nightmare as a parent 😢

I can't. I'm so sad it's actually slowed me way down and put me behind work. I know it sounds dramatic when I don't even know these children, the teachers or families, but I have cried almost every day as I learn more about the victims and continue to hurt for the families and other children who survived this massacre. I know this will stay with the community forever... May they rest in peace.

@@rrn3263 It is important to support the parents of the survivors and the survivors. Sometimes people want or need to talk about what they have been through. It is actually a form of therapy. Everyone deals with trauma differently, but it is actually good to get it out versus bottling it up. So, it is understandable, and it is important for others to be non-judgmental.

I heard from one of his classmates he would cut the heads off of cats and throw the bodies at houses. He also showed up at school with self inflicted cuts all over his face. He was very disturbed. Why no one caught this earlier is tragic as well. He needed help. I also read that law enforcement was asking him to surrender and he told them to "Leave me alone, please". He was hurting terribly inside. You would have to be to do such a horrible thing. 🤦♀️😪

Gloria So true 💔😭 One of the survivors (a little boy) said in an interview that when the shooter entered their classroom, he told the children "It's time to die" and then began shooting the children. The little boy and a couple of his friends survived by hiding underneath a table that had a tablecloth on it.
Another one of the survivors (a little girl) said in an interview that when the shooter entered the room & shot one of the teachers, the shooter turned away for a few seconds...& the little girl quickly reached over to her teacher who had just been shot, wiped some of her teachers' blood onto her own hand, smeared it on herself, and 'played dead'. It's heartbreaking (and downright disturbing) that we live in a world where _a child_ would even have to know to do that. She was 9 or 10 years old. I'm _50_ and I _know_ that I would _not_ have been able to remain that calm during the shooters' murderous rampage.

This story does not line up with the timeline investigators have presented which states the shooter immediately entered classrooms 111 and 112 and remained in those rooms the entire time. Either that timeline is false or this man you interviewed was lying and encouraging a young child to lie.
You presented this interview so you have a responsibility to follow up and let the public know if it has been verified or disproven.

What steps to take, where to hide, how to act, who to listen right down to secret code words to make decisions based off of. this was a very good question.

The door was closed, but it didn't lock. Our doors sometimes do that too. Sometimes they appear to have closed completely, but once in awhile they have to be manually pulled harder to get it lock.

Not the adults, the police. They lied about the teacher leaving the door open, a teacher had propped it open but ran back inside and shut the door when she saw the shooter outside. Teachers died trying to save the children. Parents were detained and tazed for trying to run inside to save their kids. Put the blame where it belongs, the police literally stood out there for over an hour.

They actually have to lock their doors from the hallway with a key and and then close themselves in. I’m pretty sure I saw an interview where a kid said a teacher was shot as she was trying to lock the door.

I'm sorry... if it was my children I'm climbing a fence and rushing in. I heard a woman did that and got her children out. I'd hate to be that parent that stood there and didn't get to see their children again... the regret was palpable.

Yep they initially handcuffed a mom & then let her out of the cuffs. Once she was free she ran, jumped the fence & went inside and got her kids. A dad was filmed asking a cop to give him his bulletproof vest so he could go in himself. I hope no one else has to experience a tragedy like this 💛

@@AA-oh2zi Parents are in and out of schools all day. Especially at the end of a school year when there are a lot of special events. When my kids were little I volunteered at their elementary school 1-2 times per week. Of course all parents have to have background checks to volunteer.

As an elementary teacher, unfortunately, my principal doesn’t believe in keeping the front door locked even though it is set up to screen people and buzz them in. It’s so damn irresponsible. My classroom is right inside that first hallway

The more I hear about this story the more chilling it becomes. The shooter was a twisted psycho, the police should have acted much sooner, the stories of the kids is heart breaking and the parents that wanted to be heroes makes me wish they could have been.

Honestly it may not have been parents telling her to say lies it may have just been what the child thought she heard or pictured in her head it probably was a cop or teacher telling them but she was so scared that they didnt it's a traumatizing event...my son told me what happened and the way he described it when the shooter shot his class window he described him as having orange or reddish hair (could have been the sun and the glass) he also mentioned he didnt know how or why he didnt go in his class but he thanked god because he said the shooter looked right at them. I'm just saying the way these kids are processing this tragedy can be somewhat different in their eyes it happened to them we were not there bc cops were too busy keeping us out than doing their job.

That haunting video of the killer walking up around that bush covered all in black with a hood over his head and is able to walk right in that school pretending to be the Grim reaper reminds us all here why we need to take certain guns away from society. We owe it to our kids and their families who have been innocently killed and families who have been greatly impacted here and this needs to come to a stop, otherwise you will continue to see this happen over again. Here we are many years removed since Columbine back on April 20, 1999 and we are no closer to solving this problem now than we were back on April 20, 1999 while additional children continue to get murdered at the hands of deranged individuals which reminds us including all US gun owners we all need to be on board to do alot more in order to protect our kids even if we have to give up certain assault high capacity magazine guns to make this become a reality. So did he enter into two hallways, then into the classroom where he would remain until he was killed? If so, where was this auditorium? No mention of an auditorium in any other accounts or the "official" timeline.
I think the auditorium was also the cafeteria based on people saying they hid behind curtains in the cafeteria. The cafeteria was in a different part of the school, near the main entrance, in a separate building which seems much too far away for the guy to have gone over there just to taunt people and go back to the 4th grade building. It doesn’t make sense with the timeline we are being told 🤔

I am from Uvalde. I also have a 9 yr old daughter that was in the cafeteria/auditorium that day. I have talked to her about what she experienced off and on. She told me that she heard gunshots, but not once has she mentioned the shooter going in there. I also spoke to her teacher and she did not mention the shooter going in there. I have also spoken to other parents of my daughters classmates, and again, that was not brought up. If anyone would take the time to look at the layout of the school, the event happened on the opposite side of the campus. The shooter walked around a building, went into the same building and committed those horrendous acts. I am not calling the little girl a liar, but her story doesn’t match up with the others I have heard. Another thing, the father seems to be leading his daughter into agreeing with what he says. Thank you.
Hey I'm also thinking the same cos i've read that he only went to the classroom 111and 112 and locked himself there and killed the teachers and the students inside it but never heard of him going to any other classroom also there is another story where a boy said the shooter stood outside their room and couldn't get in cos the teacher closed the door and broke the key but then he started firing and the teacher got shot twice one on her leg but she was still alive and the gunman didn't interrupt the room at all have you heard about that ?
Also i'd like to add that I heard some kids survived cos they were hiding but just hard to believe the shooter had an hour inside that classroom , its a miracle that he didn't hear them or caught them in all this time that he had in his hands

It's also confusing because the shooter entered the school and started shooting the kids and teachers in the classrooms. He was 'barricaded' inside the rooms the whole time. I need to check the school chart if the auditorium is close by.
The shooter was shooting at the building after jumping the fence. The teachers all went into lockdown doing the same things they would have done in a drill. I don't think the timeline has been completely established by law enforcement.
