LIne Shaft Machine Shop + 15 Hp Klein Engine

Overview of the line shaft machine shop at the Pioneer Steam & Gas Engine Society show, near Saegertown, PA. This video is from the 2022 summer show. I will be posting a similar video from the 2023 show.
The Brown and Sharpe No 1-1/2 was cutting gears, the planer was just demonstrating on scrap.
The 15 Hp Klein engine originally powered a 3 cylinder petroleum pump that pumped crude oil to a refinery. The pump is outside the building.

Nice machine shop, like the old metal planers, always wanted to set up a line shaft shop with a metal planer and also a vertical lathe if I can find one.

You need a narrator or docent to walk us through this. Lots of interesting stuff here. But without text, the whys and wherefors are lost.
