    You nailed it yes Budgeting is one the great fundamentals to building wealth. Budgeting comes with sacrifice and despline to budget well as it involves opprtunity cost where you have to choose one thing and go for another. Keep it up.

    💖Additional payments to my loan💖
    1. Restructuring my spending tracker and move idle money to my loan payment
    2. Cutting down idle spending and increase my loan payment to make sure its not idle money
    3. Find an additional stream of income or 2
    4. Come back every monthend and recheck how well im doing.

    Hi Nicolette
    I hope you are doing well.
    I wanted to query a few things
    1. When are you doing a video on on the budget speech for 2021 financial year? Also in quite a few firms, it was circulating that extended tax relief is only a relief if you assume no salary increases and that when taking into account an average salary increase, you still end paying more tax. Please shed some light on this
    2. What is the average returns of tfsa per year? (I know this is a broad question but an average range would suffice)
    3. I am Muslim therefore cannot engage in any interest bearing instruments, I want to know of other short term income producing products to invest in for the following reason- I want to max out both my tfsa and Raf contributions however, my surplus cash(after taking into account expenses) does not permit me to do this because the refund for the tax deduction from a Raf contribution will only be received in July after the financial year ends. This presents a timing mismatch therefore leads to a cash flow problem for the period between contributing towards a Raf and receiving the corresponding refund. I would like invest the surplus cash in an income producing asset during the year and at year end max out the Raf contributions by selling the asset and using both the income and capital to contribute towards the Raf (I can also do this for tfsa). Please advise on types of products available with low risk and income producing which do not include interest for short term
    Your response will be much appreciated
    Kind regards,

    • @khangelwakhathi508
      @khangelwakhathi508 Před 4 lety +9

      I would say calculate how much interest nsfas adds a year, then divide it by 12 months. Then add an extra 100 to 500 to that amount as your monthly repayments( depending on what you can afford) so that you not only pay the interest every month, but the principle amount as well. That way you will see your loan decreasing every year!! Most people just pay a small amount but they dont realise that sometimes that amount may not even cover the interest added every year!!!

    Id like to argue with the Debt part, i think ure using the old rules of money. partially it is correct but i think debt is good depends on how you use it. Bad debt comes from debt to pay expenses, GOOD debt on the other hand is the debt to build wealth. Being debt free to become wealthy is the old school rule, new capitalism teaches us to use debt to be wealth. E.g say i lent money from a bank to buy a R3m property, id have a down payment of R1m meaning the bank will lend me R2m. In renting out the property the debt will be settled plus my networth will go up as the debt goes down. ALL IN ALL when the debt is fully settled ull be R2m richer, plus if the economy is at a good state u could sell the prop for R4m that means through Debt you had a 300% interest. Debt is wrong when you decide to use for EXPENSES!!!!!!!!!!!!.

    • @mkhanyispheh7447
      @mkhanyispheh7447 Před 4 lety

      @Anne Day that is true, but trust me if you know and follow the rules of money this approach will work. the things you are talking about are the down side of using this and they are archeived when you dont contemplate.but trust me if applied in a proffessional manner YOU WILL WIN!
