WHY were these Minecraft features REMOVED?!

In Minecraft’s long history, there have been many features that are not in the game today. Many of them have been from early development and have either been removed while they were a work in progress, in the game for testing, or even by mistake. I feel like they should add back snowy deserts, I know it’s kinda pointless but it’s interesting and it is a weird thing that exists in real life in some places

I saw a snowy desert recently you can still get them when a desert spawns close to a ice tundra part of the desert will be snowy

Honestly would have been cool to see chain armor being usable to mix with all the other armor types. To add some additional armor stats.

Since you mentioned spawning nether portals with F4, I remember a snapshot around the time that lighting was updated that had both torches put out light when held in hand, and you could use F(1-9, don't remember) keys to smoothly change the time of day at will. It was a huge step up in quality.

This is going to sound like BS but I swear I remember there being a bug in one of the older versions of pocket edition that would effectively turn your world into a waste land. basically, how it worked was that if lava spawned naturally flowing off a cliff side and a tree spawned near that lava it would create a weird event where when the tree burned an invisible wall of fire only visible by the smoke particle effect would slowly spread across the map and effectively "burn" everything. When I say "burn" I mean it just slowly deleted every block that was burnable so like grass, wood blocks, leaves and the like. It was very weird with how it worked because it would never spread across an ocean in fact any water source stopped the weird fire wall in its tracks. I also remember it being very easily replicated but I never heard anyone talk about it or remember ever seeing patch notes about it.
