I knew the grumpy grill was gonna be #1. By far, dumbest accessory you could put on a jeep. But those tube doors are actually pretty useful. They help you see where your tire is when you're crawling over things
Yeah they're actually a functional mod and give you a little extra safety compared to running with zero doors. Angry eyes are super dumb tho. The cupholder seemed a little gimmicky and there's better storage systems available if you want to attach things to your Jeep rather than use that ladder. Spare tire cover I don't really care about.
Tbh the grumpy grill in my opinion looks 10x better than the plain front look
Definitely useful for seeing where your stock tires are when crawling over the curb at the mall

it's something Donut does really well. all the hosts feel like people you'd wanna hang out with, even dracula and the lady instructor on the real mechanic channel. today i was enjoying how jimmy was a presenter and not a background character. he was great!

100% as a Jeep owner they make me laugh. They look kind of ridiculous.
I laugh every time I see my neighbor rolling down my block in his FJ Cruiser with every imaginable cringy add on accessory. It has not one, not two but three widdle wadders, one on each side and one in back. It has a winch on the front bumper and a winch on the rear bumper, it has multiple Jerry cans mounted on each side and to top it off has a shovel and pick axe mounted on the roof. He drives this vehicle to work every day with all these ridiculous accessories mounted on it and not once have I ever seen him take it off road!
Well you haven't seen it off-road because you obviously don't go off-roading together. Have you ever seen it dirty though? Properly muddy and all that?

It was kinda amusing the first time or two. Now im convinced its part of the jeep starter pack.
That, badly aimed headlights that can see through time, a gadsden flag plate or sticker, and that hand decal.
Ngl, my Daily driver water bottle is a 36oz Yeti. It is a challenge putting it places in my vehicle, especially when i have passengers and cant just toss it on the seat next to me.

@@eriklarson9137the only happy Jeeps are the ones produced before 2005 that are maintained and still on the road. 2006 when Chrysler bought Jeep, and then 2011 when Chrysler merged with Fiat. They're just as bad as the lifted trucks driven by pavement princesses.

Im from Toledo Ohio (Where Jeep was founded) and we have a jeepfest every year, so many Jeeps here. I've seen every variety, era, and style of cringe Jeep Accessories you could imagine.
Also loving Jimmy, and the duo is pretty good.
fyi - the rain gutters aren't meant to hold that much weight, especially body weight. So I wouldn't recommend using that ladder to climb on top of the jeep ever again unless you want to chance the ladder ripping out of the rain gutter destroying it.

I was shocked at that bit. I have the painted top, and I'm pretty sure anything heavier than a floodlight attached to those would do something pretty expensive.
@@robsolf though I do see them holding Molle panels to carry extra fuel, or water, or shovels. Stuff like that. But nothing heavier.

(It honestly seems like something I could use just fine, but a lot of people are just much heavier than me and might try to follow/otherwise assume it's more solid than it is. I've had a number of my lighter-weight items damaged this way even just from me not thinking when I say, 'Here, use this.* *chair or ladder bends.*

That ladder looks to have practical uses, it's like a roll cage, but from the outside, you wont crash your windows in case you would roll over or being at an angle on some rocky places, protecting rocking slides among the sides.

I don't mind an "armored" (nonplastic) grill on the front. But the angry jeep thing is every bit as dumb as car eyelashes. Though I guess it makes more sense, since if you bought an angry jeep grill, your jeep probably hates you.

So this generation of Jeep is a JL both it and the JK (previous generation) have plastic OEM grilles, they HAVE to be removed in order for you to change your headlights, takes maybe 15 minutes to remove and re-install, last stamped steel grille came on the TJs which ended production in 2006.
Honestly keep jimmy as a host, love the kid and give him more experience he deserves it
As a jeep owner/enthusiast, I hate anything cosmetic. All I ever did to my 04 wrangler mudder/mountaineering jeep was slight lift to clear rocks, bigger tires, metal bar bumpers after the originals got destroyed, and gear shift throttle trigger for those rough rock climbing spots. And speakers once the originals went bad.
I love your customization videos. I have a Bronco and hesitant to do much to it because parts cost so much and I’m not so trusting with the cheap options. Are y’all doing a video with the broncos any time?

I’ve been subscribed and watching this channel for at least 3 or 4 years, wearing Donut merch for almost as long. While I really do like the new hosts and crew they have introduced, I really miss the older format of the channel, the shows that were airing just a few years ago. Everything evolves and I’m happy for the channel that they are doing so well, I just find I don’t really enjoy the type of content they now make.

When you a buy a vehicle whose MPG is below the legal drinking age, you throw fuel efficiency right out the window (or tube door).
If you so are concerned about the fuel efficiency, weight and drag of your car, get a hybrid not a Jeep.
Honestly if you drive something shaped like a brick you really don’t expect much in the MPG department.
