Stingers are only good at leaving a stinging pain after seeing your SL since you had to pay for the ammo cost of all 2 trillion stingers you fired to hit one jet that slightly moved at a mile away.
In my experience playing the LAV-AD it's actually a fun vehicle to use against heli's when they aren't hovering over their airbases. The stinger is by far my most hated missile to use but its really effective against helis
the stingers use argon to supercool its seeker so it’s very sensitive to heat signatures.
thus a helicopter should be able to be locked
Gaijin really decided the stinger was as effective as the Aim9B. It’s so shit lol.
I just got done with a match where I hit a SU-25K with 3 of those FIM-92k missiles, including a critical hit, and still wasn't enough to kill it. I even got killed by that plane. Really disappointed in this machine I worked so hard to get.
Thats the su-25k problem not the LAV

Keeping this at its current tier would be fine if they gave it scouting ability. That said, I’ve been very successful in the LAV as it’s speed allows you to get on the flank of unsuspecting enemy players which does increase your chance at killing them.
Issue with lowering its BR now is since Gaijin decided to move up all of Americas 9.7 tanks this thing has no line up at 9.7 if it went there and I dont think it would belong at 9.3.
As a Ka-50 player I can confirm this thing does indeed get wrecked. But at the same time I've seen LAV-AD's flanking clumps of ground units and getting several kills

hated that they nerfed stingers into the ground they halved the overload from 20 g to 10
I find these to be the bane of most ground vehicles.
Does it not have IRST? Pretty sure you were using irst to lock on targets in this video?

Stingers in general need to be buffed anyway, there's no way they're actually as shit in game as they are IRL

And yea, I don’t know why all these "stinger" Typ AAs are so "high" in BR. The Israeli Machbeth or what ever is on 9.3 while the same AA just without Stingers is on 7.7.. AND you only got 4 of these useless things. And since this is the highest AA for this nation. Good luck spading it lmao

So the reason it probably Carrie’s 155 extra rounds is because the chuting from the drum to the gun itself holds the extra rounds it’s the same with the ciws it can hold an extra 50ish rounds

Man this thing would be soo good if it had scout, it's great already but with scout I would use it 11.0
This thing its 10.0 and only costs 6k
And the lvbrv its 10.0 and costs more than 10k sl its really worse in some apsects the only good thing its the missiles

im pretty sure the lav has a tracking radar, but not a search radar
it doesnt have radar, it uses IRST (Infared Search and Track). It can lock onto the flares on night battles but its generally better than radar because the enemy doesn't know they've been locked
@@Badger_325 yeah but it only tracks. And trying to spot aircraft without a radar is kinda difficult. I really wish they would move it to 9.0-9.3

imagine reviewing a vehicle that you don't even research about and just say lack of IRST While its has it what a joke, WT CZcamsrs trying theyre hardest to not sound dumb ith minimum effort
It has IRT, not IRST. There is no search on the vehicle; you cannot see when an enemy spawns, unlike the IRST on the Stormer/Ozelot
