Ah yes, my weekly Dutch language lesson.
Look at the channel; werkplaatsvlog, here are much vlogs from him, this is a few vlogs combined
The 'Werkplaatsvlog' channel does daily updates with lots more details if you're interested ;)
@@therickman1990 jeah, im interestet, but as as a swiss men i dont understand any word in dutch 😂
@@thinkingsmen5904 No problem, there are a few volunteers who do subtitles for the daily videos

Fascinating lesson about the drive and how it works. I recommend that you coat the splines with grease before you refit the gearbox. Short splines can wear away if they are dry.
Milo in 2011: Everything is broken again, as it should be!
Milo in 2019: The most important thing is that it works.
I can see a certain development there ;)
Somehow I feel that this tank will help get us back to 2011 eventually.
@@djmips One can certainly hope.
It does seem a lot like the most important tools for assembling a russian tank are a hammer and... Well, a larger hammer....
Torch! hammer and torch.
And some duct tape
Hammer and sickle this is a Soviet tank
It's one of the reasons why Russian tanks out performed their German counterparts in many aspects. German tanks were advanced, tough and some of the heavy could probably take out 3 or 4 Russian equivalent tanks before the Russians dropped it - but they were maintenance hungry, expensive, complex, used exotic materials and required well trained crews, and took a long time to repair.
Contrast this with a Russian tanks which were quick to manufacture, easy to maintain and required minimal training to operate and repair, as well as the fact that it was very tolerant of poor conditions. A German crew would likely have to abandon a tank if it had a gearbox failure. The Russians would simply have to perform sufficient percussive maintenance and it would be back on the road again.
(Disclaimer: I know I'm oversimplifying, tank enthusiasts please don't crucify me)
@@ValleysOfRain I remember an anecdode about the difference between the Western and Soviet concepts of reliability, Soviet reliability seems to be not that it doesn't break down, just that its really easy to repair when it does. Sort of like the US concept of ease of field repair, except with larger hammers.
I have to say very good Video Edit! I follow the vlog from Episode one! And asked myself how the hell works a tank steering! Now I know! Thank you all members of team! Give Niels a hug from me! Greetings from Germany! PS my dutch gets better every day 😎
i never clicked on a video faster, I was looking ten minutes ago if you posted an update xD

Tried to say from memory Milo's intro line to my dutch friend the other day.... didn't go too well, but a good try he said hahha
Practice this I think -> Hey mensen, top dat jullie weer kijken! (Hey folks, great that you're watching again.)
Mooi man!
Nice to see the robustness of the thing. It's been outside in the rain for twenty years, and still 80% of the work is just rust removal, cleaning, painting, and assembly, with only a small portion of the parts having to be repaired of replaced. Nice!
You guys are awesome ;)
Edit: better than 99% of garbage on the actual TV. Please keep it up you legends..!
I like the fact that everything you do teaches me more. As intricate and complicated as these tanks are, you make it simple.
You will have some fine tuning to get the brake bands to work together nicely, but it's coming on. When you took it all apart - wi the gas torch, I wondered how you'd get all the new parts, but you have! Brilliant! One wonders how they managed to make thousands of these machines for war. And now with English subtitles you can teach us all how tanks work! (I drove a British Cheiftan tank once as a boy soldier in the '70's. All I can remember was the noise and discomfort sitting in the driver's seat, it seemed incredibly powerful!
Thanks for the CC Milo it`s a joy watching the vid when you know whats happening !
🤘😁🤘
Great video guys
Great update, thank you for English subtitles

love your tank project milo & Dirk!!
PLEASE MAKE ENGLISH TRANSLASTIONS IN WORKSHOPVLOG!

Tank you Milo
The old Master Milo music is back!!! Nice!! 🇦🇺🇦🇺 Keep up the hard work guys, it looks stunning.
It’s funny to think, the brake bands, are the same style that was on my adult tricycle, the same style that stop a thirty-ton tank.
This is Epic. You guys are doing an amazing job.
Thank you from Finland for subtitles
Beautiful. Love seeing this come together.
Yea in my automotive classes we were always told to spray a water mist on any brake dust in case it was asbestos
Yes!! This is making my Friday again!
Me: look at my project's and think they are maybe to far gone due to rust.
Milo and Dirk: Get a pile of rusty scrap and turn it back into a tank.
Me: Guess I'm just lazy.......
Super mooie video in elkaar gezet Bas, toppe muziek erbij.
Yes thanks to the viewers for the English subs! 👍
2:38 *Food* brake! I need to get myself one of those... 🤣
Top video, jongens !!
I wonder how will they restore the tracks
I love the videos, but I'd really appreciate if you could order the videos in a chronological order or write which episode it is in each video's title. :)
very very good .
Attendance for notification squad: CHECK!!
I would like to see this Tank racing with oversteer through the corners.
And at the moment you grind into the brake lining to find it isn't asbestos...it's depleted uranium. xD

I can't understand jack-shit what you are saying.....BUT.... you guys know your stuff, and I watch every video . It's not every day that somebody rebuilds a burnt out, blown up, Soviet Cold War design tank. The problem is....after the tank.....I seriously doubt i'll watch you rebuild farm tractors. Better find an old Soviet submarine! ;)
How do you know how to put it back together???
Do you have a Type 69 tank Haynes manual
The lineage of that steering assembly can be traced back T55/54, T44, T34-85 & T34-76 1940
Asbestos:
Netherlands "oh we cut into it.... Good job it's only steel".
UK "Seal off a 2km perimeter, hazmat suits only"

I would wager that the multi-disc clutch packs have asbestos in them.
I’ve always heard that vehicles that use Sticks as opposed it wheels for steering wear the driver out quicker. No clue if it’s true
