I've always felt fortunate for being born and raised in the South....from New Orleans, and was exposed to many different cuisines, Soul Food, Creole, French, Italian, Greek...so many....I live in Northwest Louisiana now, and learned what is called country cooking also, which basically is a blend of Soul foods.....and my Mom was from Arkansas, so, I had the best of all worlds in food.....I cook them all, and Also Japanese, Chinese, and so many more.....I am an herbalist, so I grow many herbs, and vegetables, so, from farm to table is apprapo for me...loved the video, so interesting!!!! And new ideas!!! Thank you so much!

Growing up in the North, the closest we got to okra was gumbo soup. When I moved to the South where okra is plentiful, I had all kinds of fun. Here's my favorite recipe for a "stewed" okra. Loved the show. Thanks for sharing!
