    Great video is the orchard organic Or certified naturally homegrown and can you send a picture of the cosmos in reference to the blueberries... it’s hard to figure out where you had put put the cosmos were they immersed with in the blueberries to help make a border around the orchard? Sorry with all these questions but I’m trying to build my own orchard and I really like your designs so I kind of want to mimic them to the best of my ability..

    Please forgive me for asking but what is the proper way to ripen the Kieffer pear? You said in your description, they would be a very lovely pear if allowed to ripen correctly. Could you please explain?

    • @PAllenSmith
      @PAllenSmith  Před 4 lety

      Kieffer pears are fully ripe when they have turned from green to yellow. And thee best way to do it is leave it on the tree. Now that doesn't mean they are going to be soft like the typical ones you pick up at the grocery store. But their taste profile will be at it's peak. They are a firm pear, that are used best in baking and canning. I hope that information helps!

    Is there a way to buy dwarf fruit trees cheaper than $40 to $50 each? I'd love just a small orchard, but on ss, it's out of the question.

      Many times online nurseries have seasonal sales. Find something you're interested in, check weekly and see if it goes on sale. Some things never go on sale, but you might get lucky.

    Do you think it's safe to move a five year old nectarine tree that is growing a foot away from my sumac trees trunk? They are both doing okay now and I'm nervous to kill one or both of them if I dig it up.
