      grace ripeka The management was horrible and I was barely trained, they train you off of hour long videos and start you off answering phones and taking orders then slowly graduate you to making pizzas, etc. BUT on my very first day I was put on front counter and had absolutely no idea what I was doing lmao. Then got yelled at because I wasn’t taught and kept getting the orders wrong. I worked there for about 2 months and just got tired of it

    Id say the only irritating thing with customers is when they call ham “Canadian bacon” or beef “hamburger”. Other than that, I’d recommend working in a corporate owned store, it has much less restrictions on certain things, it’s more relaxed. You’d probably get raises more often than not. However, with less restrictions comes worse product quality. Franchise owned stores have decent pizza quality, better than most corporate owned stores because franchises compete with each other.

    Two recommendations for beginners: get a map, (GPS devices fail; paper doesn't need a battery), and get a good (powerful) flashlight, (reading house numbers at night is much easier with a flashlight). Also, I always carry some extra (2-liter size) drinks in my car, which solves problems every month, (like a drink getting left behind in the rush out of the store, or the wrong drink was ordered, (eg. a "Diet Coke" and not a "Coke"). A trip back to my car's trunk is so much shorter and faster than a trip all the way back to the store to "make it right" when that happens.

    I m Ed from Brazil. I drove for Domino´s in Salt Lake a long time ago. But on my shift in that store I didnt make much. It would be nice if we could know which places would be a big deal to be a pizza driver. And in the US we use cars to do the deliveries and there are not much appropriate vehicles we can find for this job. So, maybe a geo metro would be the best car to do it. I d not put a car like a ford Taurus or a truck to do pizza delivery. Another thing, it would be nice to know which cities or stores would be a big deal to drive for. Because I have driven all night long for it and it was not worth it. Some places we drive a lot for little $$ doing pizza delivery

    I don't understand people who don't have a good work ethic I mean growing up I saw that my parents worked hard and they did their job well even if they hated it because they had to put food on the table and it kept a roof over our head and not only that but my mom when I was a teenager like 13.. 14 She instilled in me that when I got my first job which I got when I was 14 I needed to work hard and get to work on time and come in when they ask you know stuff like that and she even would sit with me at the kitchen table and help me practice how to properly count back change I know the cash registers get it and still do tell you how much change to give but it's good to know how to count back change properly without a machine telling you so it's always confusing for me when people don't have a good work ethic

    • @tslicetv1353
      @tslicetv1353 Před 4 lety +3

      Yes they give you $13 in currency and $2 in coins so that you can make change but you can never my change for more money than you have. It's so that you won't get ripped off a bunch of money. They have a locker at the store that you put your extra money inside every time you come into the store to get another run. Counting money back is very simple. Just reverse the sense up to the next dollar and then count out loud to get to what they handed you. Very simple. don't be scared. The numbers will come easy. And the chips will be earned. Sometimes you can make up to $20 on a tip for one single Pizza. Sometimes be ready to bring extra plates also. especially when you have 5 or more pizzas to deliver at one time. Good luck.
